Barnes Performance Cycles Reviews (3)

I paid for the repairs that actually were needed todayThe bike is running well but still needs to be remapped as Andrew even acknowledged when he mapped it the first time back in DecemberI have already arranged to do that next weekI have over miles on it since the repairs that *** *** performedThats a lot better than the miles I was able to ride after my Barnes Performance experienceI think its quite obvious that Andrew did not fix the problemI have supplied the documentation from another mechanic saying the charging system was ok before Andrew replaced itWhy did I bring it back to Andrew? Because the mechanic that ended up fixing my bike, recommended I take it to the guy who put the $motor in so he can honor the warrantyWhen Andrew put the meter on my bike for the 2nd time...it chargedYet he said I needed a charging systemI guess I didnt need one after all...just a couple minor repairs*** *** *** has my business and loyalty in the futureThank you

Customer [redacted] signed off on all work to be performed at Barnes Performance Cycles. He agreed to replace the charging system due to a short in the Stator. He also acknowledged that the charging system needed to be repaired/replaced FIRST before further diagnostics of his motorcycle could be...

performed. Once charging system was replaced, a general check over of the motorcycle indicated that in fact there was no problem with the new engine along with NOT having an intake leak of any kind. The motorcycle was also given a basic motor oil and filter service due to the customer over filling the system using the incorrect type of oil. [redacted] Cycle, the manufacturer of the engine has already been notified with documentation and pictures of this matter. You will see in the pictures the customer used an automotive grade 10/40 mixing with the V-tiwn 20/50 already in the engine and oil tank. After basic service was performed, a test ride of 8 miles was given to the motorcycle with no indication of any further problems. Keep in mind, this motorcycle is 15 years old with 60,000 miles on it. Every part on this machine is 15yrs old besides the engine and now charging system. [redacted] refused any further work to be performed due to him "needing" his motorcycle for a club ride.

+1

because I was stranded on the side of the road and near a gas station. I attempted to call Andrew, but he said he was too busy to assist me, I was 3 miles away. The oil was low and exhaust was black. I added a little oil to ensure I wouldnt blow the engine while trying to get the bike to andrew. Although a little oil was added, this did not cause the issue with the bike. If it did, why did he replace my charging system? I see Andrew took a picture of my personal contents in my bag...odd..but as I told him, that is not the oil I used, I had that in my bag because a friend needed it awhile back as we stopped at a gas station and he didnt have bags so I offered to put it in mine....I left it there to give back to him when I see him again. I dont appreciate my mechanics going through my personal contents, and especially irritated he took a picture of the contents of my bag without my permission.
