Barnett Heating & Cooling Reviews (2)

On July 5, 2017 one of my tec's was dispatched to The [redacted] residence at [redacted] ***. They wanted us to start up their evap cooler for the season. We told them that our seasonal service call to inspect, adjust and repair minute problems would be $148.00, which they agreed. As... the tec proceeded to make the inspection, he found a tee in water line was leaking, the cooler pump was and its last leg, and the float valve was severely scaled with hard water and recommended them be replaced. The [redacted] 's decided not to do anything at this time, gave the tec a check fot the $148.00 as per agreement, and left. The next day July 6, 2017 the [redacted] 's called us back and said they wanted a new cooler pump and float valve because there was a little bit of water running off the roof. at Barnett Heating and Cooling we use flat rate pricing, not hourly wage plus parts. The [redacted] 's told the tec to go ahead and make the repairs, which he did. After the repairs were completed a second invoice was filled out by the tec and he explained what the charges were to the home owner and the homeowner gave him a check. On Friday July 7th the home owner called my tec on his personal cell phone and told the tec that the cooler was leaking waster and asked if he would drop by and readjust the float valveMy tec said he would get by as soon as he could, But I had him on a service call 70 miles away and it took the rest of the day. Our office new nothing about it until we received a call Monday Morning July 10, 2017. We responded immediately and asked to come over and take care of the complaint. The [redacted] 's put us off because they had to go to Saint Georgeuntil Friday July 14, 2917 at which time I met with them with my tec that had serviced them. The felt that we had over charged them on cost of the parts, because the looked on line and could get them cheaper at Home Depot. I explained those parts were inferior to the ones we used and 75 miles away. Anyway I asked what would make them happy and the wanted $54.00 in cash settlement, at which I dug out of my wallet and promptly gave it to them. They seemed pleased. End of Story.
