There is NO EVIDENCE the trim on the car was in ANY way loose and to make such an unfounded assertion may need to be addressed as noted in courtPer the body shop he is also not correct in that the chrome piece could be reattached in an acceptable manner. Please forward this to MrB*** to either apologize and accept responsibility or provide PROOF and EVIDENCE this vehicle had loose trim when it entered his carwash

May 9, 2016Dear Ms. [redacted]:I am writing in response to your letter dated May 2, 2016 concerning a complaint by [redacted].I spoke with my manager, [redacted], regarding the conversation he had with Mr. [redacted] of [redacted]. Again, he said that he was told by Mr. [redacted] that the trim could be repaired and you would not be able to tell that it had been repaired. He also stated that would not be what [redacted] would want and that he was sure Mr. [redacted] would prefer to have the whole window replaced.  Mr. [redacted] has definitely changed his story since his conversation with my manager.Once again, the chrome piece came off as it went through the air dryer. That is where we found the piece, near the air dryer, not in the wash area.Mr. [redacted] has threatened to sue the car wash and spread the word on social media ([redacted]) not to use our car wash.If Mr. [redacted] does follow through with his threats, it will be false claims against our business and could substantially damage our relationship with customers. Dear Ms. [redacted]:Concerning the claim by a customer in December 2015, the customer as he said, has been a loyal customer for many years.The [redacted] the customer drives is a used car and he said that it had no loose trim, but the trim was loose enough for the blow dryer to blow it off...

the car, which the customer failed to tell you in his complaint.When the trim blew off, it fell into the conveyor pit. I cannot say for a fact that it was damaged at that time.We recovered the trim and the customer came some time later to pick it up. He said he would take the car and part to his body shop to see if they could reinstall the trim. The body shop said that the clips for the trim were missing and could not be bought without purchasing the window also, which was $3000.00. The body shop said they could install the trim in another manner and that you would not be able to tell that it had been repaired. The customer failed to tell you that also.We have a policy that if we damage a car, we will take care of it. This trim could just as easily been blown off on the expressway. If our blower blew it off, it had to be loose.As an attorney, the customer should realize that our posted signage stating that we are not responsible for loose chrome or trim, is all that is necessary to inform customers of our policy.He mentioned that he is an attorney and threatened us with a lawsuit stating that he makes $500.00 an hour which could cost us much more than $3000.00 in the long run.It is a matter of principle now.
