Review: On April 02, 2012, I hired Mr. [redacted] located @ [redacted]. [redacted], CA [redacted] with Business License# [redacted] to do my small fence with the labor of $200 and to installed tiles to my bathroom & walkway for another $400. I bought all my materials with total cost $414.57 for the fence. When the fence is almost finished, we noticed fence crooked, is not in alignment. I also notice while working he is not using the level. On 4/03/12 I stopped him working cause of job not done right. So I lost my money for buying all the materials and I still paid him $130.00.

I hired another contractor, he remove the fence, built a new fence; I bought new wood, cement. I have to claim the cost of material that he wasted.Desired Settlement: To pay me the cost of materials that he wasted. $414.75

On April 02, 2012, I had agreed to build a fence identical to the one previously there for [redacted]. As I began my work Miss [redacted] began to request additional features for the fence, such as added lattice and different design, which were not part of the agreement, and she wanted this to be done at the same price, I refused to work extra for free and discontinued construction upon miss [redacted]'s request. She stated that she was going to hire another person for the job. During the time I spent constructing fence, only material that was used was three 4x4's, about four 2x4's and two bottom boards "2x6's". The majority of the material in which she is requesting a refund as "wasted material," was still usable and/or returnable. When I offered to refund only what was wasted material she refused. And a few months later I received this complaint.
