Review: On June 18, 2013 I called Baron Brothers Nursery in Camarillo CA to see if they carried Carolina Cherry Trees. I was informed they did and that we should come down because they were going to have a sale. We arrived just before closing on the 18th of June and met with James Baron. He informed us the trees were on a different property and we could see them at a later date. James Baron asked us several question on what our landscape needs were and offered to assist us with forming a plan to meet those needs. Although we were only in the market for trees we discussed with James Baron the entire yard including hardscape and several other plants. James Baron told us we could put money down today to hold the sale price and if we put down $2500, he would include an extra 5% off all of our purchases. He called this program a "Prepay". It seemed like a great idea knowing the trees alone would cost about $2500 planted. Several weeks later we finally were able to see the Carolina Cherry Trees at the separate property. It was an awkward situation because the trees were so different than we had seen at other tree farms in the area. These trees were yellowed and had lost a good portion of their leaves. After leaving, my wife and decided we could not purchase these trees for our yard in the condition they were in. It appeared they had been abandoned on this property for some time. Because of the awkwardness I decided to explain our concerns via an email and ask for a return of our $2500 deposit. There was no return policy or any discussion of a return of any part of the so called prepay prior to taking the $2500 from my credit card. I was shocked when James Baron admitted they used my Money for the day to day operations of his business. I was under the impression that my money would go towards my trees. In the end they took my money for trees I never bought, I received nothing and James Baron has refused to return my money.Desired Settlement: I have not received anything from Baron Nursery so I have nothing to return. They charged my credit card and need to refund the $2500 back to VISA. They need to develop proper business practices. If they plan to never return a customers money that needs to be stated before the Funds are taken. Their current practice is to take your money and later tell you no refunds. They have no written policy either, apparently they make it up as they go. Bottom line is I bought nothing!!! REFUND!!!!!
