Review: I visited Nissan Baron on 02/**/2016 enquiring about a Nissan Rogue. The sales manager Satish M[redacted] served me. He told me the interest rate in financing a purchase would be 0.99% if my credit is good or 2.99% is my credit is not good. The rebate amount is $1000 if I opt to get 2.99% interest rate. I agreed on buying a Nissan Rogue SUV by financing. He requested a $200 deposit and I could pick up the car on 02/**. We agreed that I would trade in my father's 2006 Mazda 3 for $1500 cash value as down payment.

I called on 02/** if everything is good. The staff told me yes. And I requested to know what is the interest rate I would have to pay. Valery in their finance department told me the rate is around 5.9% which is a big jump on what I was told. But I went to Nissan Baron to pick up the new car anyway.

On 02/** morning they called and told me I have to get the bank lien release letter in order to take the Mazda 3 as down payment which I did not have at that time. I went to Baron Nissan at 5pm to see what I could do. They suggested that if I pick up the new car that day without the lien release letter, I could place a deposit of $1500 on credit card as a guarantee so when I get the lien release letter they will give the $1500 back to me. The then charged my card for $1500 as a guarantee.

After showing me the new car, Satish sent me to see Valerie in the Finance Department. Valerie tried to get me sign on all documents without telling me the monthly payments and interest rate. I requested at least four times and finally she told me the interest rate I need to pay is 6.9% which is way more than what I was told. She then tried to sell me warranty package in order to lower the interest rate. I requested at least five times what is the price of the warranty package she refused to answer me until I strongly requested then she told me the package is around $2000.

Since I could not agree on the new interest rate which was not what I was told when I gave them the $200 deposit on 02/**, I told them I am not picking up the new car. I would do finance with my own bank instead. I requested them to reverse the $1500 credit card transaction since I was not taking the new car. Valerie refused and told me that $1500 was a deposit. It was not the case, we agreed only if I take the new car without the old car lien release letter I would pay $1500 as a guarantee. But she refused anyway.Desired Settlement: I want my $1500 credit card charge reversed and my $200 cash deposit back because interest rate is totally different as what I was told on 02/**.

Review: To Whom It May Concern:

I recently purchased a new 2015 vehicle from Baron Nissan, and picked it up this past Monday, December [redacted] I went through the entire process and signed all the necessary papers. I was then allowed to leave the property with the new vehicle that had regular New York Plates, and a temp NY Registration Sticker.

On Tuesday, the day after, I received a call from Baron Nissan stating that they had forgotten to charge me sales tax on the new vehicle. After a closer look at the signed Bill Of Sale...it clearly states on that line for Sales Tax: NONE % QUEENS.

They've called me back now a few time indicating that it would be hard for them to register a vehicle that has no sales tax attached to the purchase. At this point, who it responsibile for the sales tax...the Dealership or me? I have a signed Bill Of Sale that clearly states that I bought this new vehicle at the price that was agreed upon at the time of pick-up. At no time during the process did I do anything either to decieve the Dealership and/or ask for no sale tax to be applied to the purchase.

If the Dealership is liable for paying the sales, then aren't they still required by law to register the vehicle properly under my name, as well?

All my signed /agreements with Baron Nissan are dated 12/**/2014.

I thank you for all your time and help in this pressing matter, and look very forward to your reply so that this situation can be resolved.

Yours Truly,

[redacted]Desired Settlement: That Baron Nissan is made to cover the sales tax on the new vehicle that they omitted from the Bill Of Sale, and that they also properly register the vehicle through the NY DMV.
