mention who or where that buyer wasI never said the instrument in question was to stay in OhioMy first buyer declined because the condition was so poorI approached a second potential buyer With a partnership with myself to purchase and restore the violin (probably a two year time line)The Cost to restore was estimated by my potential partner at $30,Without a maker's name, and only a school of making, the violin was deemed a poor investment and regrettably we both choose to pass.Mr*** insisted on the immediate return of the violin directly to him, bypassing meBecause of the condition, I chose to ship the violin with the sdown (strings and bridge) as to greatly lessen any possibility of damaging the violin.Since that time, I have returned the original bridge and stringsIn addition I sent a check for $to have the sound post set (a service in my shop for free)Had Mr*** given me the time to have the instrument returned to me first (my original plan) We would not behaving this conversationAt this point I believe we have resolved the situation to Mr***' satisfaction.Respectfully,Paul JB*** Owner, Baroque Violin Shop(Original letter attached)
