Dear [redacted] ***,This letter is in reference to case number [redacted] ; a complaint letter from resident [redacted] *** [redacted] stated in her complaint that she was concerned about structural damage and mold as a result of a leaky toiler (2nd floor) causing damage to the drywall in her dining room (1st floor)The toilet was inspected and it was determined that the leaking water was the result of a clog in which the service manager was able to clear using a snake [redacted] also informed the Service Manager that the toilet was running constantly so he replaced the fill value and adjusted the chain leading to the flapperAt no point did the Service Manager indicate the toilet needed to be replaced; only internal repairs not related to the clog in the toilet which he repaired immediately.The following day, our carpet contractor was brought in to clean up, disinfect, and deodorize the carpet just outside the bathroomThe Service Manager inspected the drywall and scheduled a contractor to make any necessary repairs to the drywall and ensure that there was no structural damage or mod issue presentIt has been confirmed by the Service Manager and out contractor that there are no issues remainingThe only damage to the ceiling was tape seams that were replaced, mudded, and painted by the contractorIf the repairs are not to her expectations I would like to schedule a time that the Service Manager and I can meet with [redacted] at her home to go over her questions/concerns in person.Barracks West staff members take all maintenance concerns very seriously and we certainly don’t want any of our residents to feel as if their concerns aren’t being addressed as quickly as possible [redacted] can rest easy knowing that her problems has been fixed by professionals and we will continue to handle any future issues/concerns she may have with the utmost careIf there are any other issues that have not been reported to Barracks West place feel free to let us know as we can address those as well.Sincerely, [redacted]

Review: Barracks West and its maintenance issues are ridiculous. I had a maintenance issue(defective toilet/water damage) happen on 11/30/15 and I am still trying to get the issue resolved and it’s now the middle of December. There is no urgency on the part of the staff or the property manager to get things done. It continues to be a common trend for NOONE to be available to answer the phone or the office is locked during normal business hours. That is unacceptable. I want to know when this issue with my ceiling is going to be fixed and I want it fixed correctly. Also there was no identifying maintenance tag on my door the last time someone was in my home so I don’t even know WHO was in my unit and that is also UNACCEPTABLE. As leasing office, it is your responsibility to keep track of the contractors that are on complex and in the tenants homes. I should never call in and you tell me that you have no idea where they are. I want this situation taken care of immediately. It happen on 11/30/15 and nothing was done until that shoddy mess on 12/15/15. I'm not going to be living in unsafe conditions because people don’t want to do their jobs correctly or want to take shortcuts to cut costs.Desired Settlement: Do the repair correctly and safely. Check for structural issues and mold. Replace toilet to prevent any other issues. Maintenance supervisor said that the toilet would be replaced but that has not happened
