18, 2015 a customer, whose contact information was unknown to me at that time,  received a discount on his purchase of$17.98 instead of $23.97, a difference of $5.99. The customer was not happy and my cashier told him that the manager, MG, was not in the store and that he, the cashier, told the customer that he could only assume the was correct, but that there was a phone number on the receipt he could use to contact the manager about the discrepancy.When I returned to the store my cashier informed me of the incident, which upset me greatly, I asked him if he had gotten a phone number for the customer. He had not, so I had no way to reach the customer. Until I received a letter dated January 18, 2015 from the customer which was sent also to you and the head of the Alcoholic Beverage Regulation Administration. In the letter he accuses me of cheating all of my customers, requests that the District of Columbia monitor my cash register and says that he should receive a refund in full for all of his personal purchases from my store if I could not provide him with cash register receipts for the last six months to prove that other customers had not been cheated.
| immediately wrote a letter back to the customer explaining that the computer that runs the cash register had an error in its pricing for the items involved and indicated that I had correctedthe error and offered to refund his $5.99 with my sincerest apologies. By the 24th of January when I had not heard from the customer I sent him a second letter along with check #[redacted] in the amount of $23.97. 
I believe that I have done my best to correct this situation and that the customer has done nothing to correct the situation even though he had my contact information at the moment of purchase as pointed out by my cashier.

Review: Store advertises a 10% discount for a purchase of 12 bottles (a case) of wine or champagne. After selecting 12 bottles of wine and requesting 12 bottles of champagne, we were told that the store only had 9 bottles of the champagne request** and we were encourag** to pick 3 additional bottles of a different brand so that we would be eligible for the 10% discount on the full purchase of the 24 bottles. We did this.When the bill was calculat** on the cash register, the discount was actually only 7.5%. When question**, the cashier said that he could not do anything about it because it was built into the cash register. We ask** to speak to a manager, but were told that the manager was not available and we were told we could not speak to him on the phone. We have purchas** cases of champagne on a number of occasions in the past and did not review the receipt. It would appear that every customer is defraud** by the offer of a 10% discount.Desired Settlement: we would like to be compensat** for the difference in discount. The total cost of the 24 bottles was $239.76. We receiv** a discount of $17.98. We have receipt to prove this.We would also like the store owner to prove with earlier receipts from other customers' purchases, that the full 10% was given. If not, we would like to be compensat** for three cases that we have purchas** in the past six months on the assumption that we were defraud** earlier.
