I am writing in regards to complaint ID ***, in which my establishment was accused of several wrongdoings. Let me handle each one head on.- The accusation of an overcharge on his card. His card was charged for a full price beer tube, before I eventually agreed to give him the
discount one final time. At this point, I voided the original transaction and recharged the card at the reduced price. The void takes time to go back on the card, and was eventually refunded. If the customer shows that it has not for any reason, I am more than happy to offer a cash refund. When the customer called about this, he swore at me over the phone for over minutes, without ever letting me explain what happened.-As far as the service industry discount, it is store policy to ask for some sort of proof that the customer works in the food service industry. Every week this customer came in for a discount, and every week he said he would bring proof the following week. This had gone on for close to months when I told him we would longer offer the reduced until he had firm proof. We ask all customers about proof of employment in the food industry, and there is no open bragging about customers cheating us.
