THERE WAS A 5,MILE “IN HOUSE” WARRANTY ISSUED FOR THE BIKE BECAUSE THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH ITTHEY IGNORED THAT WARRANTYTHEY ALSO WOULD NOT BRING THE MOTORCYCLE TO US TO LOOK ATWHY WOULDN’T WE PICK IT UP, OF COURSE WE WOULD HAVE AS WE DELIVERED IT FREE OF CHARGEIT ALL BOILS DOWN TO THE FACT THAT THEY TOOK IT TO A DEALERSHIP TO TRADE IT IN BECAUSE SHE SAID IT WAS TOO HEAVY FOR *** THEY NOW WANT A WHEELED MOTORCYCLE AND WANT THIS MONEY FROM US AS MORE TOWARD THAT DEAL. AGAIN, A FLABBERGASTED CLAIM, ESTIMATE, AND THEY WOULD NOT LET US SEE THE BIKEPLEASE DISMISS THIS CLAIM AS WE ARE ALWAYS SO PROUD TO BE A DEALER SINCE 1987. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I  in response to Over the Edge.  We didn't have delivery because it was winter and the weather was bad and wanted to wait. We called when the weather was better asking why he had not delivered it yet. At no time were we told he had no free and clear title.  As for our distance he is correct we are 20 miles but when we were sitting at Burbank hearing and seeing what was wrong with the Goldwing we were more like 50 give or take a few. We called Dale from there and he never offered to come and get the bike at all. As a matter of fact he said to contact him and let him see the bill when done.vat first we showed him an estimate but he wanted the finished optimized bill. We explained the bike would not be worked on untill sometime during the winter. A copy of a pd receipt made on a credit card was shown to him as well as an itemized bill. When we got the bill it showed no mileage so we asked the worker to write it in for us. As for Honda, it is true they were called but there was nothing to drop as they do not deal with USED sales and Dale blew that out of proportion as he did the chopped up document he provided. So much for a reputable business. Lies, lies, lies.    reviewed appear below

feedback. First we would like to mention the fact that the owner [redacted] has not contactedus. It has been his wife that has made all the allegations and complaints. The bike was purchased on January 23, 2015 in winter. It was a used Gl 1500 Goldwing and they did not want delivery of the unit until later due to it being January and not riding season. The title was coming from our customer who was in Florida, however, there was no apparent hurry on their part since they did not want delivery at that point. The mileage on the unit was 73,460 and there was a 5,000 mile “In House” warranty issued for this unit. Non Transferable and only through our dealership. This was explained.When delivery was requested and a 30 day tag was issued to [redacted] Thomas, it was the date of 3-14- “2015” – with 73,460 miles. We did the courtesy of delivering this unit free of charge to their Wellington address which is 20 miles from our location, not the 50 miles that was indicated in the complaint. A second tag was issued on 4-11-2015 as the title was put in [redacted] Thomas’s name on 4-16-2015. They chose to pick up the title at our dealership. Bike sold 1-23-2015 and now complaint comes in 2016. For the complaint and request for payment: This was denied for the following reasons,She refused to bring the bike back for us to look at (even if we pick up the unit)Why????? I would think the condition of the bike is not as indicated as this was from one of our repeat customers who always had his work done through our dealership and we knew the good condition of the bike and that is why we had been comfortable issuing the 5,000 mile In House warranty. AND if you will please note that the paper she presented to us for payment was from a Johnny K’s Powersports in Burbank, Ohio, only 5 miles closer than coming to our dealership and it was an “Estimate” not a repair “bill”. Also a very important factor on this estimate is that it is all typed EXCEPT, very importantly, the mileage…that is handwritten in. Why? The customer’s wife contacted American Honda about this matter. We talked with Honda and explained that this was a Used bike which had no actual Honda Warranty on it. It had a 5,000 mile In House Warranty.  She had indicated to Honda that she was out on a trip and broke down and had to have the repairs made. She told us that she was at a dealership (this Johnny K’s) to try to trade in the unit as her husband could not hold the unit up “too heavy”. They wanted to purchase a 3 wheel Can Am unit. Honda dismissed the case. It is our strong feeling that the “Estimate” was made up to “lower” the trade in value of the Goldwing. It’s not good practice but we have seen dealerships do this. We know these things had not been wrong with this unit. We know that we were provided with a flabbergasted estimate, not repair bill. We know that they would not let us look at the bike and we know that the mileage was handwritten in on the estimate provided to us. Payment will not be made for all the above reasons. Please see attached paperwork.If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us.
