Barry's 8 Track Repair Center is Reliable, Honest and proficient in repairing and restoring 8 track units. Barry has been able to assist us in restoration, as well as provide us other information if needed. I have 100% confidence in any and all units that Barry is associated with.

I bought an old 8 track player to play some of my classic rock on. The player worked but the music sounded terrible. I thought it was my tapes. I found Barry on the web. I thought his prices were in line with what I wanted to spend to see if a cleaning was all this unit needed. I sent my player to him and he was in communication with me and gave me an expectation for turn around. When I received my unit and stuck the first tape in it sounded Great! I kept putting in more tapes and got the same result! It was the player! It is great to listen to all my old tunes! Thank you Barry for your expert work! Send your old units to Barry and he will get them playing like new!

June 14, 2015: Original contact by e-mail. I called later on that day to work out the details and was promised a new motor in the 8 track unit as well. Paid via credit card over the phone, price of $165.00.

June 15, 2015: Shipped unit to Barry Fone, cost of $41.64.

June 27, 2015: Me: "Is there a projected completion date for the unit I sent in?" His reply: "In accordance with my standard 8 week turn time, your unit is scheduled to ship on 8-17."

August 22, 2015: Me: "Was the player mailed?" No reply. I called him September 1, 2015.

September 16, 2015: I received the player back without a new motor and still doing the same thing it originally was doing and contacted him about it the next day. His reply: "I'm sorry you're having a continuing problem, sounds like a classic case of me not writing down everything I promised a customer. If you'll send it back and include a short note of the problem you're having, I'll reimburse the shipping cost to send it back and correct the problem I missed."

September 30, 2015: I shipped the player back. Tracking # **SSN[redacted]SSN**. Total return cost: $38.04.

March 1, 2016: Me: "Is there an update for this 8 track recorder/player?"

March 3, 2016: His reply: "I am SO sorry, should get to it over the weekend :-) The business is growing faster than I can keep up with it - which will be a good thing once I catch up on a huge backlog of units. As it stands, I don't think I'l be getting much sleep before June."

April 7, 2016: His e-mail: Finally got the new motor in and she's running great....At any rate, I'll be sending her back in about a week, with a check for the amount you paid to ship it back for warranty work."

May 4, 2016: Me: "Is there an update on when it will be mailed?" His reply: "Most likely shipping today"

June 28, 2016: His reply: "I am SO sorry this took so long. She finally went out this morning with the following USPS tracking number: 1615 1560 0001 0425 5658, Thanks again Peter - enjoy!" Actual tracking number: **SSN[redacted]SSN**.

July 6, 2016: Player delivered and STILL doing the same thing it was. No check was included for the return shipping. Sent an e-mail: "I received the player today. Is the return shipping check included somewhere?" I never received a reply.

I first dealt with Barry in 2007 when he first started his repair service. My experience at that time was not good at that time. However, Barry admits he had start up problems when he first started his business. Barry and I have since come to an amicable agreement to rectify the problem I had with his work / service. Now Barry is running his business exactly the way any reputible company should be run. I would now recomend Barry and his repair company to everyone. He surely stands by his work and is a stand up man.

Barry did marvelous job of restoring my 1978 8 track player recorder to perfect working order. He replaced the servo motor, fixed the track changer and sandblasted the capstan. I'm now able to enjoy my collection of great music again, and believe it or not it still records too. Amazing.
