I was extremely disappointed when I received your letter,but also I appreciate it as well, as I like teil know what is going on in our store.  I want apologize for the experience that you had on august 19 as that is not the policy we have on handling discrepancies of pricing from the shelf to the check out. Our policy is to honor the price that we have posted so long as the item on the shelf matches the label on the shelf,as sometimes items are placed in the wrong place. This was not the case in your situation'   ,the price was clearly wrong,and we should have made it right without out any hesitation,and immediately after you had been taken care of and on your way back to finish your project,we  would correct that so that it did not happen again.         ·
 
We are a part of the community and we do not want anyone to feel like you did on that day. You and everyone else in this community are the most important  part of our business, without  you we cannot stay In the community.                                   ...                                         ... />  
We do not conduct lazy or careless pricing practice; in fact we are up dating prices on a daily basis as pricing from our vendors change often. With more than 50,000 items in our store, sometimes ther'e are going to be items that get missed. We are inspected by the department of Weights and measures on a regular basis;we have never failed their inspection. Retail business in [redacted] is required to have written pricing policy by the department of weights and measures. That is why we have it posted on our counter.
 
That being said, does not excuse us from the experience you had in our store. We cannot change what happened but we can do everything possible to make sure that this does not happen again.[redacted], I personally,am very sorry that you had this experience,I hope that this is the only bad experience that you have ever had here and I would like you to consider coming back to our store.
 
We are all human, and one of us here used bad judgment that caused a very unpleasant experience,I assure you that I will do my very best to not let that happen again.Iam enclosing a $20.00 gift certificate that is for you to use on anything you need at our store,should reconsider coming back.
 
This hangs in staff break room and,one person forgot a very important thing.
 
"A customer is the most important visitor on our premises.He is not dependent on us- we are dependent on him.He is not an outsider in our business-he is a part of it. We are not doing him a  avor by serving him....he is doing us a favor by giving us the opportunity to do so.•                                         ... '
