Bartender Of America Reviews (1)

Review: Tell Us About Your Problem: Prior to and upon my enrollment as a student on July 10, 2013, Bartender of America Bartending School (hereafter "BTA") advertised its provision of "hands-on training and experience as a bartender", as well as "assistance in writing a bartending resume and interview coaching," BTA Management also made verbal offers and promises of one-on-one coaching and (technical) instructional asisstance to me on repeated occasions between July 10 and August 16, 2013. In addition, BTA Management advertised class offerings on Saturdays, between the hours of 10 AM and 3:45 PM. Also, BTA Management issued me and other enrollees with a Student Manual containing its official policies, and referred to these policies verbally to me and other enrollees on a number of occasions, when students (including myself) made inquiries and appeals for assistance per these policies.

1. BTA Owner/Instructor [redacted] and BTA Instructor [redacted] failed to fulfill all of the aforementioned promises to me and other BTA students:

2. BTA Owner/Instructor [redacted] and BTA Instructor [redacted] made false allegations against me on more than one occasion, and, made false statements/gave me incorrect information, on more than one occasion;

3. BTA Owner/Instructor [redacted] failed to provide me with instruction relating to BTA Student Manual Chapters 6 and 7 in their totality;

4. BTA Owner/Instructor [redacted] and BTA Instructor [redacted] failed to provide me with adequate instructional assistance, coaching and technical support that is inherent in the coursework for which I enrolled and paid $450 USD on July 10, 2013, and, which I repeatedly requested from them between July 10 and August 16, 2013;

5. BTA Owner/Instructor [redacted] and BTA Instructor [redacted] failed to ensure a reasonable climate for learning for myself and other students;

6. BTA Owner/Instructor [redacted] and BTA Instructor [redacted] failed to adequately respond and ameliorate a number of disturbing situations which I repeatedly brought to BTA Management's attention since my initial start of BTA coursework on July 15, 2013, including: lack of professionalism by BTA Management/instructional staff, lack of reasonable communication between me and BTA Management, lack of provision of a reasonable climate for learning for me, lack of assistance/support/technical coaching for me, and BTA Management’s inconsistent/non- adherence to the BTA policies and procedures as noted in the BTA Student Training Manual/Handbook I was provided upon my initial enrollment;

7. BTA Owner/Instructor [redacted] failed to adequately respond to the aforementioned issues from #6 above, as noted in my letter to her dated August 16, 2013.

8. BTA Owner/Instructor [redacted] and BTA Instructor [redacted] breached its (Enrollment) Contract with me in committing all of the aforementioned acts.

Finally, from my own personal experiences and those noted by fellow BTA students, as well as feedback given to me by fellow BTA students, I also believe that I have been intentionally, unfairly, and illegally targeted by BTA Owner/Instructor [redacted] and BTA Instructor [redacted] (at **. [redacted]'s behest) for retaliation. I believe this retaliation came in the form of 1) a lack of adequate instructional assistance, coaching and technical support; 2) disregard of BTA Policy in allowance of a climate unconducive to my learning; and 3) planned, concerted and unfair efforts to ensure my failure of the Midterm and Final Exams required for course completion and bartending certification.Desired Settlement: 1. Written acknowledgement of BTA's failure to meet terms of its Enrollment Agreement with me, and

2. Refund of $450 Enrollment Fee, OR

1. Written acknowledgement of BTA's failure to meet terms of its Enrollment Agreement with me, and

2. Issuance of Bartending Certificate
