Bartlett Shoe Repair

On 7/1/15 I went to the shop to have two pair of shoes repaired,interacted with the owner who was arrogant. That should have been an indication to get my shoes and leave but wanted to give my business to a black businesses. Just because I came by before the due date and time, he thought he could talk to me like I was a child. I gave him my ticket and he threw it back at me and going to tell me "what did I tell you when you drop your shoes off" in a very nasty way. So I left and came back on the day the shoes was to be picked up. On 7/8/15 I got off work early and since I worked out in the area, and I live a long ways from the business I stop by again to see if my shoes was ready . Again I lay my ticket and my money on the counter and told him a wanted to see if they were ready since I was out this wa and again he wants to chastise me like I'm some child. So I told him to give me my shoes and the other was not ready but I didn't care because I was not going to do business with him.","pos-3

They repair my boots but the heel was an inch shorter than the front of the shoe making it impossible to wear.Show them to [redacted] & I went to Barltett shoe Repair and left a pair of boots and paid for them in advance. I have used him many times and never had a problem before. I went to pick the boots up and the heel was and inch shorter that the front of the shoe. I told Owner, [redacted] that something was quite right and that I could stand in the shoe t he way it was now. either the sole in front was to high or the heel was to low. He started yelling at me saying that he had been doing this twenty plus years and to try it on. I could stand because the heel was shorter than the front. I took it off and put it on the counter. He then said lose some weight you fat white [redacted]. He threw my shoes at me and said to get out. I told him that I would just dispute the charge when. He came around his counter and followed me outside to the front of mu SUV and said say something else [redacted]. I thought he was going to hit me.I never raised my voice to him. All I wanted was me shoes to be fix right. You could look at the shoe and tell that the heel was to short for the front of the shoe.. I even asked friend later to tell me what was wrong with the shoe without me saying a word.I am sorry if he had a bad day but that is not the way to do business. I have never been talked that way by someone I was doing business with. Desired SettlementI put a stop payment of this because the owner, [redacted] threw me out with out fixing the boots. It will cost more to fix now because of added repairs. I was horiffied by the way that he talked to me. I just don't want this happening to someone else. I never once raised my voice to him.... just asked about my shoes. He followed me to My SUV and I thought he was actually going to hit me. Left there in tears.

Bartlett Shoe Repair was recommended to me by a friend who used this business for many years. I had a shoe repaired 2 times this year. The workmanship was exellent both times and shoe was ready for me at the time and date specified. The second time I appeared 1 day early by mistake. The owner was patient with me and had his assistant try the shoe on me (which was partly ready--held together with paper clip) to make sure it would fit correctly and made an adjustment. I returned on the correct day and shoe was ready.
My impression was that the owner was proud of his work, polite, and well organized.","pos-2
