My Name is [redacted] and I am the Sales Manager at Barton Lake RV. Fremont,In. XXX-XXX-XXXX I'm responding to CASE # XXXXXXXX. I handled the [redacted] deal numbers and loan contract papers when they purchased the camper. Every customer I deal...

with I use the same process and the same questions to get to the deal bottom line numbers for the customers. Example: Are you looking for new or used camper, Do you have a trade in? Do you owe anything on your trade in? Do you need equalizers bars or a 5th wheel hitch? Do you need a starter kit, sewer hose, water hose, toilet paper, chemical, wheel chalks etc... Is there anything else you may want in the parts tore before I give you your final sales price? In this case with the [redacted]'s they did need a 5th wheel hitch and Bike Rack in the deal. My on lot list price was [redacted] we sold it for [redacted] and a sales discount of - [redacted] The [redacted]'s did not like that price. So to make the deal better for them We gave them free of charge there 5th wheel hitch of [redacted] and the mentioned Bike Rack [redacted] FREE FREE FREE. They did not pay for either item. Now for the bike rack that they want us to give them there money back for. We can not give them money back for something they never paid for. Second, They damages the Bike Rack some how and we said we could not warranty it for them. On a busy Saturday in my showroom with many customers inside. Mr. & Mrs. [redacted] start by causing a problem by yelling and demanding that we take care of their[redacted] bike rack and they are not leaving till someone gives the money back or gives them a new bike rack. [redacted] and I tried to calm them down and explain the situation again to them. They will hear nothing of it and they still demanded over and over the same thing. So I on Saturday 9-19-2015 hand wrote a Barton Lake RV receipt form with this information on it. Customers Name & Address, the Bike Rack Name, Part Number and Manufacture Number and Page number found in the new parts book we gave to the [redacted]'s that day. I told the [redacted]'s to take the bike rack with them and for them to contact the manufacture themselves to try to claim a warranty or get a replacement from them. The [redacted]'s picked up the Bike Rack and said very upset that this is not the last we would hear from them on this problem.
We at Barton Lake RV see and deal with thousands of customers a year. We pride ourselves on helping everyone we can that comes through our doors. Over all the years of being in business we have learned a lot on treating customers with the up most respect and try to go over and above to make all HAPPY and satisfied with there experience with Barton Lake RV and it's Staff. In this case with the [redacted]'s They would not reason with us and understand that we could not give them there money back or even warranty the Bike Rack because they damaged it. We all at Barton Lake RV are sorry for the Ill Will the [redacted]'s may have for Barton Lake RV, but we still stand by our decision we made on this deal.
