Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2017/03/13) */
Ms. [redacted] came into the dealership and purchased the 2005 Dodge Magnum as/is over of other options offered to her. She didn't have her money up front so Bart's held the vehicle for two weeks until she secured her money. During that time, Bart's...

turned down other offers out of respect to our commitment. Once Ms. [redacted] decided she didn't like the Magnum, Bart's offered to give her full trade credit toward another vehicle. Our offer still stands. Thank you.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2017/03/14) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I agree they did hold the vehicle for me but at the same time that is because I expressed that I really wanted the magnum. I never said that I dislike my vehicle. I dislike the fact that it has been deemed not drivable by two different sources. I love my vehicle and that is why I am so upset that I cannot even drive it and that I am being offered something else that I really don't want and that also needs work. Had the magnum only needed the minor junk yard repairs and standard maintenance that were mentioned at time of purchase then I would of never had to get the Revdex.com involved. In fact I had even referred others to Bart's thinking I was given honest service but right now I feel like I am being forced to have to just take what ever they offer. I understand used vehicles come with having to get work done but Hires even said that the amount of work needed was well over the value of the vehicle. I was told at time of purchase that the minor fixes were junk yard repairs. I have gone to the junk yard for those issues. I had an appointment to get the driver side doors repaired and windows repaired but that all was not completed because Thankfully I scheduled an oil change prior and this has been the outcome. So I am not trying to be unreasonable! I just don't understand how I only had the vehicle for less than two weeks and going about making the necessary repairs and found out that I was not safe to be driven. I have both Hires and firestone paperwork stating the issues with the 2005 Dodge Magnum.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 20, 2017/03/27) */
We look forward to helping Ms. [redacted] find an acceptable vehicle option. Bart's offer to give full purchase price trade credit ended 3/23/17. As a special exception, Bart's will extend offer until 4/6/17. After that, current market value will be offered. Thank you.
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 22, 2017/04/04) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
My father and I went into Bart's on Saturday April 1st and was told theat they did not have any inventory off hand. I then asked for a refund of at least [redacted] Big [redacted] and [redacted] then asked that I bring the vehicle back in and they will appraise it. They told me they will let me know the following Monday morning if I would get what I was asking. That Monday I spoke with Big [redacted] and was told that [redacted] was in the process of trying to get a buy bid and that I would hear something Tuesday between 2-3. I had not heard anything so I contacted Big [redacted] via his cell (he gave me in order to make sure I could reach him) and he told me that they had not received any bids and that [redacted] needed more time. I said that I agree to give it a few more days but needed to make sure all of this was documented due to them giving me a timeline of April 6th and them also now having procession of the vehicle since the 1st. I am willing to wait until Friday for some kind of a response at which point I am expecting to have a resolve to this situation. I am in need of a vehicle and this is being dragged out for far too long.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 13, 2016/09/12) */
The vehicle Mr. [redacted] purchased was a local trade-in, we were unaware of any warranties or repairs done to the transmission before we brought it in on trade. Unfortunately, we have no information about the warranty that the previous...

owner had established before trading the vehicle in to us. Mr. [redacted] purchased the vehicle as-is, he did not elect to add any extended service plans to his purchase. Bart's Car Store feels that this issue should be taken up with the shop that did any previous work to the transmission before we took ownership, as we do not have any information concerning work done previous to our ownership.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2017/11/14) */
The customer did in fact call in on the to confirm vehicle availability and to get pre-approved for financing. Unfortunately, he did not show up on the 9th like he stated he would, instead he decided to come in on the 10th. We do not hold...

vehicles for customers, and in this case the Jeep was sold on the 10th at a different location by noon on the 10th. The sales staff immediately contacted Mr. [redacted] to inform him that the vehicle sold and we would gladly show him another option in our Jeep selection or one of our 600+ vehicles in inventory. Mr. [redacted] declined those options and there was no further contact between Mr. [redacted] and any of our locations.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2017/11/14) */

First off I was informed by your salesperson to come in to pick the Jeep up at 130 pm on the 10th of November. I was informed to see salesperson by the name of Chris [redacted] I have the text on the 10th to prove it. Mr [redacted] also provided me information on the dimensions of the Jeep to confirm it would fit on my trailer. I called in at 250pm on the 10th to talk to the manager but was talked to rudely by another of your sales people Dave. I was also told by Mr [redacted] the finance person would call me on the 11th. I still have yet to hear from them on this matter. I will disclose the information from Mr [redacted]

This is the most pathetic way to run a business. Then Put you have over 600 cars in stock to plug your company and use this to advertise. Nice.

I purchased a 2009 ford f 150 (fx4) from Barts Car Store in Avon IN. The truck had a couple of issues with the transmission. Barts took the truck to there own mechanic and he said that the truck needed a new differential. Barts said they would replace it. After waiting for over a week for the parts they said that the truck was finished and I could pick it up. When I got there they said the only had to replace the crush sleeve and seal in the differential. The mechanic changed his mind and said that the differential really didnt need to be replaced. After the problem continued I took the truck to my own mechanic and he personally showed me all the problems with the truck. Total of $5,800.00 parts and labor. He also informed me that the truck was not an (fx4) model truck that they told me it was. He showed me the difference with another truck on his lot. I then took the truck to a Ford dealer to confirm. I contacted an attorney and told him the whole story. He advised me to try to get my money back on my own but to tell Barts that me attorney will be in contact for FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. Bart immediately refunded all money I paid for the truck and down payments to avoid a lawsuit. They knew completely that they had been caught changing out the stickers on the truck. John [redacted] was my sales man and the managers name was Brian. They are crooks through and through. I learned my lesson on trusting a used car sale man. Also I put cash down to hold the truck over the weekend. When I came back on Monday the cash was gone they had put in an envelope in the safe. John said that Brian the manager pockets money when he is short for the week. They wanted me to wait for a week to pay me back. Like I said Barts car store are crooks. BE WARE!!!!!!!!!
