Could not be more pleased with these guys!. Kevin *** handled my entire project and kept it stress free. We had a very large job, 80K + metal roof with an older gambrel style in the mountains. I knew I chose the right contractor when they found that the old roof was installed improperly and told me that it was not on the insurance assessment - but that they would put it back correctly (by re-decking an entire section) and assuring me that it was on them even if insurance didn't pay. Kevin managed my project from beginning to end and did it while I was traveling. He took care of the details like damaged siding and gutters (also not included on the insurance adjustment) and made sure the job was done right. Baruch did what they said they would do – when they said they would do it!! Hard to find these days! Great job – highly recommend!

I was researching a project and called them for information. The staff is friendly and really helpful!

The hail storm that hit Baker and surrounding neighborhoods on May 28th did enough damage to our 9 year old roof to file an insurance claim for replacement.
Baruch Construction was prompt, easy to contact, and very thorough. They came out and confirmed damage prior to me contacting the insurance company and returned to meet with the adjuster to make sure the issues were recorded properly and included in the claim. And as a result, I just received a new roof and gutters, which were painlessly installed in a short time and look great! Later this year I'll have ~10 windows repaired as well as a new paint job, all of which were covered.
Luke, the owner, has been courteous to our property, to us and to the insurance company. I’m very happy with the professionalism and am confident in his company - can’t say enough positive remarks to do them justice.

I received an estimate from Baruch Construction for hail damage repairs for roof, garage door, 1 window, 9 screens and a deck repair, paint and stain after had filed a claim with ***e. *** has also approved more supplements for work to be done and more profits than originally agreed to by Baruch.

*** has sent me checks for there approved claims for repairs totaling $$16,402.84. However, part of the work was never done or product provided leaving a credit of $590.68. Also, the deck and painting were never completed.

I gave Baruch payments as each part of the job was completed totaling 5 checks totaling $15,815.11. Leaving a overpayment from me to Baruch of $590.68.

In the meantime, *** Baruch has emailed and texted me numerous times threatening to file a Lien on my property, refusing to work with me and stating he would only work with my brother (who has nothing to do with this claim but helped me with the numerous confusing charges and supplements he copied to me).

Baruch was continuing to ask my Insurance adjuster for more and more supplements. I asked my adjuster to stop any further communication with *** or Baruch. I stated I would find a new Contractor as Baruch is refusing to work with me.

*** sent me another harassing lengthy email threatening to call his attorney on me and charge me the attorney's fee and 2% of late charges.

***e says I can choose any company I choose to work on my property.

I no longer want to do business with Baruch Construction or have them sending me threats or harassing me for monies I do not owe. It seems to me that they are trying to gauge me and the insurance company for work that was never done and and never part of the scope of work agreed to.

As my brother is not the legal owner of the property and I am I find it quite uncomfortable dealing with Baruch and find his behavior now to be threatening and intimidating with no cause. He seems to think he can lien me for work that has not been done.

Tonya,
Your brother *** stopped by moments ago and said that he looked at our invoice and agreed with it. Apparently you had not factored in your deductible which was highlighted in your final insurance report and the likely reason we gave you for your math being incorrect. Had you replied by marking up our May 9th invoice and referring solely to that and your final insurance report we could have easily have explained to you your error. We all agreed to use the process defined in the Completion Agreement signed and dated January 15th. That is the only way to track exact insurance proceeds and resolve anything that is unclear. *** asked us to send him the invoice, text him the amount and to prepare a lien waiver. Which we’ve done. He said you will pay us the $2,365.63, discontinue your complaint with the Revdex.com and on Monday he will pick up the lien waiver and drop off a check. He said it will be a certified check but that is not necessary. I think you are an honest person and don’t expect that you would ever write a bad check.
The Completion Agreement stipulated that we would supplement your claim as needed directly with ***. The rationale was that we negotiated the price for work with them so no need for you to be involved in that as it, as did everything else, only confused and upset you. Your insurance carrier has been difficult as well. So much so that you, at our request, signed a complaint with the Colorado Division of Insurance. The complaint cited three supplement items *** was refusing to pay for. Those items were to remove and replace step flashing, ridge cap install as well as 1092 square feet of ice & water barrier, and that Baruch Construction be paid overhead and profit because there were 5 trades involved in your claim. After a very long and tedious conference call did they agree to pay us for most of the work but not all of it. You on the other hand did get all the work mentioned done and were only billed for the work that *** paid for. *** acknowledged that we only billed your insurance company and you for work we did that the insurance company paid for. He also acknowledged that we have never billed you or your insurance company for any painting.
The garage door portion of your claim is a good example of how supplementing your claim is for your benefit. We sent *** the estimate from *** which they paid in full. If you look closely at the numbers they approved amounts in their program which didn’t track exactly what the sub was doing but did meet their price. You complain that not all the work was done. You should be appreciative that you received a brand new, insulated, upgraded door and didn’t have to pay for the upgrade which, pursuant to the contract, was your responsibility if *** didn’t. It is important to know that there is give and take between the contractor and adjuster and ultimately, regardless of how it is presented, the proceeds given for work we did belong to us. You could call *** and go over this with them. There is a chance they will rescind the allowance and you will then be out of pocket for the upgrade but that is unlikely. You should talk to someone you trust before lashing out at us for A) doing our job, and B) increasing your claim to get you broader scope of coverage. *** said today he thinks you should have let *** process the supplement so that you would have enough insurance proceeds to cover the paint job if and when you decide to do it.
We entered into the Completion Agreement with you because you asked for us to wait until the spring to paint your deck. We agreed to do that and confirmed with your insurance company that your claim would be held open. The Agreement clearly states that your roof, which we fully replaced on 10/18/18 was completed to your satisfaction and that you would promptly remit to Baruch Construction, Inc. all insurance proceeds attributable to the roof upon receipt from the insurance company. When reminded of this you simply refused to pay both ignoring and breaching our Agreement.
I think this brings this matter to an amicable close and that no lien filings or libel suits are going to be necessary. At ***’s request we will hold off on filing a lien until Monday when we exchange lien waiver for your check. Thank you for getting *** back involved.
Respectfully,
*** Baruch
Co-Owner
Baruch Construction, Inc.

Did our roof and was paid immediately upon completion. Waited 15 months to submit another bill requesting more money and an insurance statement regarding how much was paid to us. Requested more money 15 months later and threatened collections and court. Very unprofessional in the business practices. Cannot givean actualnamount still owed based off work actually performed and refused a final invoice stating they could not give one until they received a final statement of loss from our insurance. Quited3 different dollar amounts in email. None of which were accompanied with an explanation of charges.

I believe the issue has been resolved to our customer's satisfaction. I felt all along that our customer was an honest person and that we would ultimately come to an agreement. We had a very difficult time communicating what insurance proceeds meant and why we needed final approved pricing from customer's insurance company. Illnesses on both sides of this transaction slowed us down quite a bit, and, eventually stopped us. That part of this issue is on me. I thought our project manager had closed this out a long time ago before he took a leave of absence and he did not. We haven't yet seen the insurance report, and no longer feel it necessary, because we believe the homeowner, ***, statement to us which is reprin*** below.
On Tue, Jan 22, 2019 at 5:40 PM *** <***> wrote: ***, please disregard any messages from ***. I’m done with this and your free to cash the check. I spoke with the insurance company and the amount in question is correct. I’m not owed any money from you so there isn’t an overpay. We are done here. Thanks!

Dear ***: I have not said anything to anybody about you. Your caustic threats and impatience with my ability to pay you does you no good. I am working to get more money from *** for my claim. When I let you put in my fence I expected you to honor your original estimate that you sent to *** which was $1,100 for the fence. Then you increased the price to around $3900. I asked for an explanation. None was ever given. Then you increased it to $4900. Actually I never signed a contract for anything but when I agreed to let you do the fence I was under the impression the cost would be $1,100 and I believe that is your workers figure out how to pull up the old posts and told them where they could rent the proper equipment to do the job at a very low cost. It was quite clear to me that your workers had very little experience putting up a fence. It was my intention what I got. The quality of the fence material is very poor. The spacing of the slates is quite irregular and I actually helped to let you do the rest of the work on my roof but I could never get a price or a time. Then I checked with the City of Federal Heights and found out that you never checked with them about the city's requirement for the roof work you were planning to do. If you had done this, a very different requirement for my roof could have been presented to ***. I am attempting to correct your error and get more money. I let my son-law do the roofing work because I found out he had prior experience doing this type of work and had recent experience doing this kind of work bu working for Habitat for Humanity. He agreed to do the work if I would let him do it during his off hours. His work has been approved by the City of Federal Heights. My desire to get this job done before with had a severe weather condition that could possibly caused interior damage because of the poor condition of the roof has been fulfilled. The fraud comes in over your overpricing of the very poor fence you put up for me.
I know I have a very good evidence that if I were forced to pay what you are asking for this fence that I could win a civil case for price gouging. All of the above figures are backed up by saved E-mail conversation. Sincerely, ***

Mr ***,
In our response we will let your words and those of your insurance company, both in writing, speak for Baruch Construction. Written correspondence proves you were paid $4,073.60 in insurance proceeds for the exact work performed by Baruch Construction at your request and on your fence. You paid Baruch Construction $1,225.47 and pocketed $2,848.13 of insurance proceeds clearly allocated to replace your fence.

***’s original Report dated 4/28/18 on your claim allowed $1,583.89 of total proceeds to repair damages to your property. $570.83 was for a roof repair and the balance of $1,013.06 was for your fence. We worked diligently on your behalf with *** at your request

On June 9, 2018 you sent us the below email where you asked us to complete the fence prior to arriving at a price we were to be paid by the insurance company to get the yard ready for your wife’s birthday party 7/4/18 (See email below). Earlier you had expressed concern over the grass dying. We agreed to move forward prior to getting the claim increased to accommodate your concerns with the express understanding that we would accept whatever we could negotiate with your insurance company.

On June 9, 2018: Hey ***: I just forwarded your total estimate that you gave me in May to my *** adjuster, ***, at ***@***.***.com. She needs an estimate for the shed and you might resubmit the pictures when you send the estimate. Again she wants to have this claim completed by Friday. This is the third time I have been told this, but with your help maybe we can finally get started on my recovery. I personally would like you to give priority to the fence and complete it before July 4, 2018. I want to have a birthday party for my wife who yes was born on July 4 on our newly completed patio and back yard. Sincerely, *** L. ***

On August 13, 2018 you forward us an email (see below) about the progress we were making getting your claim increased by an additional $2,695.69 and that you owed it to us. Its twice the amount you paid Baruch Construction and we were far from getting all the work approved that you asked us to do from your insurance company.

Dear ***: I finally got notification from *** that they are sending $2695.69 additional on my claim. As soon as I receive it I will pay you the $2992.25 I owe you. However, I still need the fence you took down to use as a barrier against the damage my dogs are doing on the new fence. All I have left to repair the roof with is $1596.68. So what I am going to do is have my son-in-law do a patch and glue job on my existing roof which well also help him out with a financial crunch his family is going through ever since my daughter was laid off and had to take a job with less pay. ***

Here's another email where you threatened a law suit against *** if they didn’t cover the full cost to pay Baruch Construction to replace your damaged property;

On August 30th you wrote the following email to ***: To Whom It May Concern: I, ***, will no longer put up with the harassment *** is doing to try to get me to accept less than what is needed to fix my damaged home. I have already E-mailed I S Tyler, attorney at law, to start a bad faith lawsuit and possibly a class action suit against *** over the way you pay ***. The bottom line is either pay . Barush Construction Company what they need to finish the job they have started on my damaged home or I well see you in court! Sincerely, *** L. ***

Ultimately, we prevailed and you received enough money from *** to pay us for the work we did and you are trying to pocket it. The below amounts include the second coat approved which we applied, the temporary fence which we constructed, and additional square footage to reflect the actual size of your fence.

For you to suggest this is price gouging and fraud is at best ludicrous. Baruch Construction, and most insurance companies, as you well know, use Xactimate software for estimating replacement and repair work from insurance ***. It is based on the reasonable cost of labor and materials by region. The following information was copied directly from your 4th and final Statement of Loss detailing how much the insurance companied gave you to get us complete the exact work we performed on your fence.

7. R&R Wood fence 5'- 6' high - treated $1688.50
8. Clean the surface area $237.60
9. Stain - wood fence/gate $429.00
26. Specialty Items (Bid Item) $1,313.15
27. R&R Temporary fencing $350.35
Tax on mateiral: $55
Total: $4,073.60

As a former insurance investigator, for a ten - year period, you know exactly how the *** process works. We agreed Baruch Construction, Inc. would work with *** to increase the claim sufficiently to pay us to replace and stain your entire fence. *** originally allowed $1,583.89 for your fence and ultimately allowed $4,073.60. You owe us $2,848.13. In your own words; “ The bottom line is either pay Barush Construction Company what they need to finish the job they have started on my damaged home or I well see you in court! Sincerely, *** L. ***. They did and now it is your turn. It is as simple as that.

Customer Response • Nov 06, 2018

Dear Revdex.com: The information from Baruch and Company is only a copy of all the correspondence I forwarded to or directly wrote to them with except the last one. I have receive from my bank the statement that this company has cashed a check for the fence I had them do. The check stated that it was final payment. I have received no communication from this company since. It is my impression that the work they did is satisfactory for me and the amount paid for it was satisfactory. Therefore; this complaint has been resolved. Sincerely, *** L.

I was happy to work with Luke and Seaver on both our roof and a new shed. Both projects were completed in a timely manner and look great.
Thanks Guys,
Terry

I highly recommend working with these guys on all types of projects. They helped with the exteriors (siding, gutters, roof, windows, etc.) after a hail storm and did a great job listening to what we wanted, while making informed suggestions. The work quality was very high.

I live 2 miles from Colorado Mills mall and was impacted by the May 8 2017 hailstorm. Luke came in and assessed the damage and that estimate was same as my insurance company estimate. He also worked with the insurance company throughout, and got more proceeds due to additional damges. Work was professional and top quality, I don't esitate to endorse them.
