*** claimed to be a contractor with his own crew doing the job site *** lied abut having a contractors permit, licence or any liability insurance It took to weeks to get additional information from him by this time I invested alot of money *** misused the money and did not pay the hvac company he hired, the electrician he hired , the framers he hired or the plumbers he hired I now have to deal with the hvac company who want to place a lien on my residence when it was *** who hired everyone but is refusing to pay them This has been the worst business encounter I have every had to deal with *** is a con man and nothing else Other clients should be aware of his activities *** also uses a ruse of dying or hurt family members when he decides not to pay the sub contractors or has misused the funds Other complaints from and from clients appear to be a pattern when he spends the money for other then the construction project
On 6/29/2016 we had an initial consultation with Jerry [redacted] - The Basement Man about A/C installation. He ensured us that he installed quality brand air conditioning units and will have the A/C unit installed in a week. He gave us a proposal/estimate for a [redacted] central air conditioner for $6000. We gave him a deposit of of $3000 to start the project and asked us to make the check out in his name. The next day he called us and stated that the A/C contractors required the full payment. He came and picked up the remaining $3000. He said the contractors would be out for install on July 5, 2016. On July 5, 2016 no one showed up. When my husband called to get an update regarding the install, Jerry stated that there was some miscommunication and that they were supposed to be installing on July 7, 2016 instead. No install on July 7, 2016. He kept giving us excuse after excuse and avoiding our phone calls. Do not TRUST this man with your money or to do any work! I will be contacting CSPD.
