I rented an apartment with a one year's lease beginning August 2018 and ending August 2019. I was accepted into a *** program where I worked 3 days a week and went to college the other two days. I had to move there straight from high school with not much notice so I had no money. My mother paid my apartment rental deposit, $457. I kept my end of the lease agreement by paying my rent in full, on time every month and keeping my apartment clean. I knew no one who lived in the area so I had no visitors unless my family drove 2 hours to visit. My mother and/or grandmother stayed all night approximately 5 times.
I have talked to the manager and I contacted Franklin Asset Management Company who is responsible for the apartments and they say I should get a check in the mail. I have been told over and over that the check has already been mailed but it obviously hasn't. I'm a struggling college student training for a maintenance position at *** I need that money while I'm in school.
Refund I would like my full deposit refunded. I left my apartment in better shape than I found it. When I moved in I couldn't use the kitchen sink for months because of a missing pipe - YES a missing pipe not just a leak. I repaired that after 4 months because the apartment office would never send anyone. I enjoyed living there. Never had an issue with parking or neighbors. The main problem is management or ownership that fabricate lies to buy time thinking I'll give up on wanting my money.

On August 3, 2018, you paid a deposit of $229. We subtracted $48 for the prorated rent of September because you moved out on Tuesday September 3, 2019. On August 1, 2019 you put in a Thirty Day Notice of Resident's Intention to Terminate Tenancy. On this notice you provided a forwarding address of *** Georgetown, KY 40324. We mailed the refund check of $188 to that address on September 26, 2019. Unfortunately, we will be unable to refund your full deposit of $229.
