It was a pleasure meeting with you yesterday. As promised here is my written statement to the complaint your office received from [redacted] on December 19, 2014 ID number [redacted].
**. [redacted] contacted me in the later part of October 2014 about my services. I met with **. [redacted] and she informed me that she wanted to use our services because she did not like cake and wanted something different. After our initial conversation **. [redacted] decided to hire my company, Basket Treats to provide a dessert table for her 30th birthday party. She stated in her complaint to your office I was unprofessional from our initial meet up which left me confused because if I was unprofessional why did she hire me. She never came across as if she wasn’t pleased with my services because our communication via text message she referred to me as Sis or hon which left me feeling a little uncomfortable and suspicious. She also told me how much she appreciates all I am doing for her. Not once did she display a sign of being unhappy with my services.
As time went on we communicated by text message, **. [redacted] expressed on two different occasions her finance was becoming a little tight. On November 17, 2014 she expressed not having enough funds because she just purchased a new car. She asks that I please work with her and reduce the initial contract amount by $100. I advise **. [redacted] I was not able to do so because I have employees to pay plus her price was already discounted.
I advise [redacted] I would need a 4 foot table (please refer to the text messages) and I could provide it for an additional cost. I also gave her the option to provide the table to cut cost. She decided to provide the table. When I got to the venue to set up there was a 6 foot table there instead of a 4 foot table as I requested and she agreed to provide. I decorated the table the best I could with the extra space that I did not plan for. I delivered exactly the items I was contracted to do. The table cloth I used were made from a thick satin material for the 3 cocktail tables that were decorated with centerpieces and candles. **. [redacted] described it as flimsy. I have a store front and I invite your office to conduct an inspection on the material I use for all my events.
In conclusion I’m not sure why **. [redacted] was unhappy with my services because I delivered exactly what we discuss in our initial meeting. I ask that your office review the pictures and text messages I attached of her dessert table and rule in my favor.
Respectfully,
Alexis S[redacted]
