Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because this service was inadequate I am sending you this notice to request cancellation of my home owners insurance with immediate effect. You do not treat new customer like this I requested a service nothing was done. I was also was overcharged by [redacted] when I first purchased your home owners insurance it was supposed to be $375.00 your representative [redacted] charged me $1,050.00 your company is very unprofessional company. I expect a full refund of 375.00 plus the $45.00 service fee. I look forward to you reply and a resolution to my problem Regards, [redacted]

Dear [redacted] , Our mission at Choice Home Warranty is to provide property owners with peace of mind by offering a high quality, easy and affordable way to protect their most valuable asset We are committed to providing a positive customer experience and we take all feedback very seriously Choice Home Warranty provides home warranty service coverage on the systems and appliances listed as ‘INCLUDED’ under the terms of the User Agreement sent to you at purchase It may also be found on [redacted] Upon review of your claim it appears that your claim was processed in accordance to the CHW policy section Letter D, Number which indicates that main, holding or storage tanks are not coveredThe diagnosis provided to CHW stated that there was water leaking from the tankThe heating claim that was placed on 3/14/was not covered as it was indicated as a preexisting conditionIn accordance to the policy, section Letter F, Number 1, CHW isn’t responsible for repairs related to known or unknown preexisting conditionsThe policy has an effective date of 3/5/and with the diagnosis of the inducer and pressure switch failing, it was deemed that these are failures that take time to fail and would not have occurred in such a short span of the policyCHW is a company that is proud to be able to offer peace of mind to their customers in accordance to the guidelines of the policySection Letter L states you may cancel after the first days and you shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $administrative feeAs such, a full refund will not be providedCHW values all customers and would not want to lose any customers, however, if you would like to cancel your policy, you may call customer service at [redacted] We do regret your frustration; however CHW is in full compliance with the terms and conditions of our policy Regards, CHW

Our mission at Choice Home Warranty is to provide property owners with peace of mind by offering a high quality, easy and affordable way to protect their most valuable asset We are committed to providing a positive customer experience and we take all feedback very seriously Choice Home Warranty provides home warranty service coverage on the systems and appliances listed as ‘INCLUDED’ under the terms of the User Agreement sent to you at purchase It may also be found on our web site at http://www.choicehomewarranty.com/user_agreement.php I do see that you had opened your policy with CHW on 5/2/and you placed your claim for your washer days after your policy started on 5/4/ Choice Home Warranty sent out [redacted] Appliance Services who advised us that because they thought the unit was under manufacture warranty, you would not allow them to touch the unit We did request them to go back to your home but they declined, stating that they refused to go back to your home Since we did need a technician to go back to your home after we did find out that you had a one year warranty but that was in 2011, we then dispatched [redacted] Service & Repair to come to your home Tommy the technician stated to CHW that your unit had multiple failures, including: unit control has shorted relay, door lock assembly shorted & cold water valve will not open These failures cannot happen within the days of the policy being active Per our policy, you must come into the contract with all units in proper working order Please see Section ACoverage#Are in place and in proper working order on the effective date of this home warranty contractThis contract does not cover any known or unknown pre-existing conditionsIt is understood that WE ARE NOT A SERVICE PROVIDER and are not undertaking to repair or replace any such systems or componentsThis contract covers single-family homes (including manufactured homes), new construction homes, condominiums, townhomes, and mobile homes under 5,square feet, unless an alternative dwelling type (i.eabove 5,square feet or multi-unit home) is applied, and appropriate fee is paidCoverage is for occupied, owned or rented residential property, not commercial property or residences used as businesses, including, but not limited to, day care centers, fraternity/sorority houses, and nursing/care homesThis contract describes the basic coverage and options availableCoverage is subject to limitations and conditions specified in this contractPlease read your contract carefullyNOTE: This is not a contract of insurance, residential service, warranty, extended warranty, or implied warranty.We always want our customers to understand that all policies have exclusions and CHW does follow our policy We do our best to assist the customers and approve claims that are submitted to us We do apologize for your frustration with these claims CHW is in full compliance with our policy.We do appreciate your feedback as this does help us with our customer service and service providers.Best regards,CHW
