Review: I ordered Bassani exhaust pipes for my motorcycle. About 30 days after putting them on, they paint/blueing began to flake away at the header. After contacting Bassani ("[redacted]) I was asked to e-mail photos and a copy of my invoice, which I did on 03 June 14. After multiple e-mails on my part to Bassani, I have yet to hear back and/or have any resolution on what I deem to be a manufacturing defect.Desired Settlement: I would like someone at Bassani that cares about customer satisfaction to contact me and help me find a suitable resolution. Not only am I concerned that my expensive exhaust isn't performing to standard, but I also feel like Bassani could care less about me as a customer.

Prior to receiving the customer's complaint on July 9th, a Bassani representative had responded to the customer via e-mail expressing Bassani's best intentions to take care of the problem. At this time, Bassani is dealing directly with the customer ensuring that his concerns are resolved to his satisfaction.

Review: Purchased a Bassani brand exhaust off there site. Exhaust I received was a volant brand exhaust. Contacted last Friday about issue and was ignored. Contacted again today and was given an excuse that sales are final and as is. When no where on there site or during check out is there any terms of service and certainly non that state this. Was told I can't return, exchange, or get refund. Was treated very rude. My email has been blocked by them and returned to me staying so. All I want is what I paid for or my money back. They can send label for old exhaust. Lady insist as is but avoids fact that it doesn't state this on there siteDesired Settlement: Would like a return label to send back and a refund.

Response:

Customer ordered a part from our BlowOut Sale on our website, at a discount of almost 50% off. The link he has to click on to enter this page states "Blow Out Sale on Discontinued Automotive Systems". The order was placed and we shipped out the item on February 10, 2014. The customers receipt clearly states "THIS ITEM IS FROM BLOWOUT SALE, SOLD AS IS, NO RETURNS, NO WARRANTY, OR CREDIT" and was attached to the box.

The customer opened the box and had the system installed on his vehicle, and ran for two months before contacting Bassani on April 16, 2014 stating the following:

"Hello, This is my 2nd email

attempted after receiving no reply to my first one I sent last week.

I purchased a bassani exhaust for a Hummer H2. The muffler, tips,

and boxes all are branded with the volant branding. Why is this ? I

purchased what I thought was your exhaust system. I'm not happy with

the sound nor why I haven't received a reply to my simple question.

Please tell me how we can resolve this. Thanks

Bassani's warranty does not cover for sound, the following is on our website under our warranty: http://www.bassani.com/warranty/

SOUND

Bassani Xhaust mufflers, for all product lines, are NOT warranted to produce or cancel any particular tone, note or resonance. As sound preference is purely subjective, BassaniXhaust recommends you conduct thorough research prior to making a purchase.

Voided Warranty

Any modification to an original "As Shipped" Bassani product shall VOID it's warranty. Any deviation from the original intended installation of a Bassani product shall also render the warranty VOID.

Had the customer contacted us prior to installation and running the exhaust system on the vehicle, we would have gladly approved for a Return Authorization.

Bassani Vehicle Warranty Consideration:

To be considered for warranty replacement or repair, at the discretion of Bassani, all products must be returned, with Original Proof of Purchase, to Bassani via Pre-Paid freight by customer. Eligibility for warranty consideration shall be verified with corrective action required upon visual inspection of presumed defective product. Bassani shall not be responsible for any incidental or consequential damages including but not limited to, installation labor charges, freight, or loss of use or damage to vehicle or other property, or injury to operator, passenger, or others.

If you believe you have a defective part, contact Bassani Xhaust Warranty Department at (866) 782-3283. Verification of Original sales receipt is mandatory, by [email protected] or fax (714) 630-2980.

Digital pictures and Original Receipts are required, to assist in promptness of verification of possible defective items

These are our business policies. We stand by our decision not to credit the customer because the item has been used, which the customer stated in his initial email that we recieved about not liking the sound, and there were no requests for return of unused product due to customer disliking the product logo. We do not allow returns after items are used, especially after 2 months.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

No where on there site does it state sales are AS IS. You may have put that on the receipt after I purchased it and AFTER you took my money but no where before was it clearly posted anywhere on your site. You are making terms that I did not agree too. Terms have to be accepted, you can't just throw them on a receipt and put in the box after I've already paid for and you shipped the item. I also see now you added a picture showing it's a volant now that was not there when I purchased. So you assume you did no wrong but felt the need to put that up there now? Why because you know what you did was deceiving.
