We have received the Jetter of complaint from customer [redacted] reaarding the damaged office chair that was purchased as-is from our showroom floor.In lieu to this concen,the customer was able to send photos of the damages. Upon review of theconcern a repair technichan advised that this...

Item was deemed unrepairable.However, to keep in customers good faith, store management has offered to allow a reselection of this Item for another of equal or lesser value since the item has been discontinued from our style line. Upon advising the customer of reselection Mr [redacted] notified that he was able to use a third party repair company to fully repair the damage.Store management end consumer have agreed upon a refund that amounted to an excess of said repairs made by customer. Consumer was refunded this afternoon (4/21/2016) and this concern has been successfully resolved.lf there are further questions or concerns about this matter, please feel free to contact the store at any given time.Thank you and have a great day!

I was informed that my furniture would be delivered within 30 days and I will not and have not  received  my furniture within the advertised time fram.

Review: I bought a leather sectional from Bassett Furniture and within a year, the leather was peeling. Bassett replaced the sectional since the it was deemed a manufacture defect. 3 months after we received the replacement sectional, the leather started to peel again. It is the exact same problem as the previous sofa. Bassett now claims that it has been over 1 year after the original sofa was bought, therefore, they are not responsible. I contend that they did not honor the original warranty since they gave us another defective product. Now the company is also claiming that it is a normal wear and tear and will not do anything further. The company did send out a technician to repair the sofa but he was not able to repair due to the fact that the sofa was not properly coated (defective). I urged the company to speak to their own technician regarding the condition of the sofa but they stood their ground that it is normal wear and tear even though the original sofa with the exact same problem was deemed a defect.Desired Settlement: I no longer trust that Bassett would be able to deliver a sofa that is not defective.

This is an email to close the currently open complaint for the above client. Our Bassett client purchased on 8/19/2012 and on approx. 6/1/2013 the client reported having issue of the leather peeling along the cord/welt of the sectional. The chosen leather by the client was not a completely dyed through leather, so to address her problem we have invited her back into the Ontario Store to reselect the same style sectional with a different leather choice so that it will be completely dyed through and will prevent the peeling along the welt/cord. We also have extended 30% off of the new order to help in the price difference. Customer was happy with the compromise and let us know that she would be in the following day to proceed with the reselect. Thank you

Review: Purchased sectional sofa on 3/18/13 which was delivered 5/23/13. On 7/15/13 contacted the store to inform them fabric was ripping at the seam. Was advised to send email to jim at store with pictures ([redacted]). I was informed they would send someone to repair which they did. Again on 7/15/15, another email sent to Jim advising him of tear at seam in different part of couch. Again, sent someone to repair. Admitted quality issue but said repaired well so should be ok. On 10/13/15 noticed tear by seam again. First contacted Guardsman (since paid for protection plan) and they stated quality issue that I need to contact store. When contacted store (10/28/15), I spoke to Tedd [redacted] and was informed to send email with pictures. I did on 11/2/15. He emailed back same day stating he would be in contact. He did not contact me so on 11/12/15, I contacted him only to be informed it is not the stores responsibility but I could have Geraldo from store fix for $120.00. Everything points to a quality issue since sofa is in a room (cellar) that is used at most once a week. 6 weeks after initial receiving, fabric ripped at seam and again 3 months after initial repair. I don't understand how they cannot be responsible for quality issues. I realize cost is minimal but store should be totally responsible for repair. Also concerned since this is 3rd episode of tear in 18 months that it is indeed quality issue and I will continue to have problems.Desired Settlement: Repair tear or replace sofa since quality issue. Also accept blame. Mr. [redacted] telling me I must have done something when similar situation has happened 2x in past and as little as 6 weeks after purchase is unacceptable. My children are grown so we do not have little ones jumping on our furniture.

Review: I purchased a kitchen table from Bassett Furniture on September 29, 2014 and after four months I do not have all the components of the table. It November 2014 they lost the legs to the table, in January they did not deliver the leafs to the table. Customer service has been extremely slow and unresponsive.Desired Settlement: I would like a credit equal to the amount paid for the table. And I want the table leaves delivered immediately. And I want others to be aware of the poor customer service after purchase.
