Bates Asphalt Paving

On January 8, 2020 I contracted with *** with BAC, also known as B & B Paving, to redo my driveway in Jay Florida. They had knocked on my door, told me they had top of the line materials and were working on driveways in the area, and asked if I was looking to have mine done. They completed the work that day and I paid them $4700. Later that evening, I noticed there were spots on the driveway where the hardener did not cover. I called them the next day and they came back to re-spray. They told me I could drive on it the following day, but it was still too soft. About 5-6 days after that, we had a light rain and my driveway was a mess - the top started coming apart and the sides were washing away. I have continuously called and texted both *** and *** about the condition of the driveway as it is still too soft to drive on. The only response I have received was via text on January 18, where he said he was going to try to get back on the following weekend to put another coat on it. He asked for pictures (which I sent) and said he would work with me, but in the meantime I was to continue to drive on it to help it harden. I hired them (BAC) to lay asphalt milling with a hardening applied at 2 side by side homes in Century Florida on January 6, 2020. After the work was done, I paid them $8500 and was told to stay off of it for 4-7 days, and as of today 1/17, it's been 11 days and the asphalt is too soft to even walk on, let alone drive on. I have called the company numerous times in order to speak to them about the work not hardening properly. I am not able to speak to the gentleman who led the project, ***, and now I cannot get anyone to call me back to help rectify this problem.

I had an asphalt driveway installed on my property 9/21/2017. I am already having problems with the quality of product and installation . The asphalt was supposed to be 2 inches thick however along the edges it is very shallow and actually breaking off because it is too thin. Also, where the gravel was leveled, the sides were left exposed , allowing gravel to fall out which left no support for the asphalt causing it to break off and gravel to get into my yard. I now can't mow without the gravel being throw all over by the mower blades. I tried raking up the gravel but it just keeps coming out from under the asphalt which makes the asphalt weaker. In other spots I have vegetation coming up through the asphalt as far over as 6 inches and the edges of the asphalt there is cracking off completely. There are also cracks developing in other places. They also sealed the drive for an additional price of $1,800, which I found out later should not be done for at least 6 months..I paid a total "cash" price of $10,300 for this work. When I ask about a warranty I was told there was none, quote "because what can happen to asphalt". I am a widow and I knew nothing about asphalt work when this all took place and I do feel like I have been scammed.
