I would not recommend anyone to Mr. Hasselback!! He is a very abrasive, rude, and controlling individual! He dismissed the domestic violence in my home and insisted I force my children into unsafe environments with their father. He attempted to make unsafe decisions for my children when he barely knew them or my ex husband's games and manipulative behavior! I had to quote the National Transportation Association and Trauma organizations in regards to "driver fatigue" just to prove my point and not place my son in danger with his father on a some 32 hr nonstop drive to Florida! When I confronted Mr. Hasselback on the phone, he became extremely defensive with rage and anger telling me what I would do and not do and I distinctly told him that I was their mother and knew my children much better than he and how my ex played games. I did not agree with Mr. Hasselback and refused to follow his orders! I explained that I would not allow him to make any decision for my children especially since he dismissed the entire domestic violence in the home and failed to listen to me. He cuts you off mid sentence and fails to listen to you!! He does not communicate your bill and the options for payment nor did he detail the work. His office staff were extremely rude, non communicative. I found Mr. Hasselback in many lies and treated me and my ex differently. He had nice long conversations with my ex , but was abrupt and abrasive with me only to tell me at the end that a detail bill would be mailed but yet explained to my ex how he would have to really work at the shared parenting plan! He is unfair, unjust and clearly should not be an advocate for children!! He really needs remediation, counseling on domestic violence and anger management classes. It is not appropriate to consult psych services on the entire family because he was reacting to being called out on his irrational unsafe decision for my children! I would not recommend him to anyone, but rather have him removed as a GAL so that no one has to go throughout the headache I had to go through. I will be filing disciplinary action against him with the supreme court as well as the GAL panel in Licking County.
