I am sorry that Mr. [redacted] is so unhappy about this situation. As was stated before, we did pay for a replacement cabinet that at the time was the one he needed. That was his only complaint at that time, that was what he said would rectify the situation. When he came in again to complain about the contractor, one of my staff did have a conversation with him, and explained to him that we were not responsible for the contractor, and NOT to pay him till the work was satisfactory. He paid him in full without correcting his issues.  He also had a friend, who couldn't do his project, but came in to tell him everything that was wrong. I told him to have that person there when [redacted] went to see him. [redacted] says he tried to call him, but nothing came of it. It was also questioned as to why he didn't get more than 1 quote for the job. When I give names of contractors, I always state that they don't work for us, but it is a place to start getting ideas on the cost of any project. We are a reseller of the cabinets, and neither [redacted] or ourselves are responsible, if they are put in incorrectly.I think it is unreasonable to expect that we would replace hi whole kitchen. The countertop was put in correctly, and as his friend got involved, that is when we get getting more complaints. He made the decision on who to hire, we are not responsible for that decision, and did try to help where we could.

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted]. .
First off, how can a business operate and assume no responsibility for inaccuracy on a product that they are selling? Where does consumer protection come into place? It makes absolutely no sense making me pay for additional cabinetry on top of what I already paid . I am stuck with two additional cabinets, just sitting on my garage floor that are totally useless to me that I paid a lot of money for. I would like to point out that Bath & Co is lying about helping me, what help? If I was helped, I would not be here writing a complaint for the world to see.  The owner never presented himself as the "middle man", if so don't you think it should be presented to me that way?  Bath & Co placed the cabinet order, I put my trust in them assuming the order was to be  accurately placed and filled correctly. My concern is not over the other "customers" who have bought cabinetry from him. The cabinets sold to me do not fit in my house and I am stuck with this because of them. The owner should have verified the measurements and he should have come to my house to see the actual kitchen as he was portraying himself as the "designer".  I trusted the owners word on using his recommended installer, which again was a complete disappointment as dealing with Bath & Co. The concerns placed in front of the owner always seem to get blamed on someone or something else, including blaming me. Where does this leave me with cabinets that don't fit in my house sold by Bsth & Co?Regards,

In regards to Mr. [redacted]'s complaints,We tried to help him with some of his issues, but are not responsible for the contractor. We replaced one of the said cabinets at our expense, and when speaking to Mr.[redacted], we did tell him if he was unhappy with the work, he needed to take it up with the...

contractor, and that he shouldn't make final payment to him, until all hisissues were rectified. As far as the measurements, we send those to the cabinet company and they do all renderings for the cabinets. The countertop is installed by fabricators who work only with countertop installation. They did a good job, and were never told of any issue with that. We never guarantee work for outside contractor's and recommend they get 2 or 3 quotes for any job. We are sorry for his experience, but have had many happy customers, with no issues with their cabinets and layouts. [redacted] is not employed by Bath & co., so any repairs required are his responsibility. He has not come to us about the above matter.

Again, more lies. I was never offered options for different contractors, I did not  know who to turn to as most contractors won't deal with substandard situations such as this one. As mentioned before, I was persuaded by Bath & Co.  into using their "highly recommended" installer. At the time, they only have his business card sitting in a card holder on their desk in the show room, no other options or recommendations. My direct issue is the fact that I'm stuck with two cabinets that I paid for in full and have no use for in my home and that the base cabinets around the stove do not fit correctly, they are too large and scrape against my stove when the doors of the cabinets are opened. It was discovered that the cabinets were too large after the floor was installed and the stove was put into place.I have text messages stating this to the owner about the issues of base cabinets not fitting correctly, and he did not want to incur another tempting fee nor feel the need to come to my house so that I could explain and show him what was going on.  I would also like to mention that I paid substantially more for the granite  from Bath & Co than I would have paid if I purchased it from the actual company that did the job. I showed the owner the online ad, he got mad and said it was a "mistake" on their end, naturally another "mistake".  I have stated this multiple times again and again that the owner of Bath & Co will direct all issues to other people/companies as shown in their response, they don't want to assume any responsibility , just sell you something and take your money then tell you its all your fault. How is it ethically right to charge someone for two cabinets that don't fit correctly, offer them no reimbursement whatsoever on either one of them, and turn around and say we will take care of "one" new cabinet, yet  charged me for the "second" cabinet yet I'm still at a financial loss for the first two cabinets?!  The base cabinets need to be replaced regardless with the correct sized cabinets which involves taking everything apart. Obviously their "Recommended Installer" didn't know what he was doing, and at the time when the work was completed I was not aware that the stove would not fit correctly. [redacted] did offer to come back, and I have the text messages between us to prove that. I explained to him that the entire countertop needed to be removed, the backsplash would be damaged and possibly the granite would crack upon removal. HE did not respond back to me with an answer to the issues in question. My "friend" is a legitimate contractor/builder with over 45 years experience, fully licensed and insured in the state of Massachusetts and due to health issues he was not able to do this job for me. It is quite obvious in the remarks from "Bath & Co" that owner does not want to help me. He made his money off me, took advantage of me and when problems arose there is no rectification but blaming me for everything I did "wrong" . The right thing to do is stand by what you sell, guarantee it will fit and work correctly. There was no level of responsibility or physical involvement in my kitchen project by the owner.
Regards,
[redacted]
