Bath Fitter- Albany Reviews (%countItem)

Called bath fitter on numerous occasions. Was constantly told to contact Morgan at this number (***). First, I had called Dan (the sales rep who had sold us this package) on many occasions at ***, that we had an issue with the after installation, (The grab handle cover has come loose). This man has never called us back. Then I had called bath fitter at the number provided and was rudely told I needed to call back when Morgan was there? I called back and was also rudely told by the girl who answered the phone that I needed to call back when Morgan worked. We work until 5 pm everyday and call backs are not available to me and my wife. Morgan did call us back to try to rectify our installation problem, but every time we try to call back, we get a rude woman or no Morgan. I tried today at 2:00 PM to get a hold of this Morgan person, but once again she had gone home, according to bath fitter.

It is quite obvious that your particular location of bath fitter does not care about their customers. In fact I will do all my correspondence with the Revdex.com. I appreciate that you “Talked” with your manager and we are having a repair person come on this Saturday 01/11/2020 at 9:00 am. (You made this look like we were bothering you and you are doing us a favor) This is after many e-mails and phone calls to you personally that we even get this. Every chat we have had will be forwarded to the Revdex.com. I am sorry but it seems you just don’t care. I just do not understand why your manager has not contacted us? I do not want any financial retribution on this, and this letter will be sent to the Revdex.com also. I am not trying to be difficult Morgan. This is a safety concern. Yet you chose not to respond and to see if my wife was okay. Sent from Mail for Windows 10 From: *** Sent: Wednesday, January 1, 2020 1:36 PM To: Morgan G Subject: RE: Bath Fitter Repair It is on our grab handle: My wife grabbed the handle and brushed the cover (she just brushed this cover), (covering the forward installation screws) this cover slid down onto the grab portion of our handle. My wife did not realize this and she cut her hand on the inner edge of this cover as it became dislodged and slid down the grab handle, she went to utilize this handle with soap in her eyes and her hand was cut. The bottom one I do not want to touch either in fear of displacing this cover. Again Morgan, I do not know if this is an installation issue or manufacturer defect. I am however concerned with the quality of our products purchased. I did further my inspection of the wall and I was previously incorrect, I do see a water retention gasket installed at the screws used to install handle. I just need to know what type of screws were installed as the ones used look like they are rusting already. Obviously this is not the case. These dates will not work. Anytime after 5:00 pm weekdays or on any day of the weekend. Desired Outcome: My wife has had an injury due to the quality of the grab handle installed. She had cut her hand due to this. We had contacted the rep numerous times to get our grab handle fixed.(Dan at 518-669-2664) No reply after at least 5 times) We then contacted the local Bath fitter site in Albany in which we assumed we had done business. We were constantly told that the person was not there to help us, this was at 5:30pm as we work as most do during this period. We were told when calling after 5:00 pm that no can help us, in fact we were rudely told "that Morgan leaves at 5:00 pm and that she has a life". We called back trying to get a hold of this Morgan and she finally told us to e-mail her. What kind of service is this? Included in this e-mail is the correspondence when Morgan finally responded. I then asked if the manager could contact us...No reply again. I will make it my life's mission to make sure no one buys from this company again. I just do not understand why the manager lets this go on...

With regard to the above reference complaint, we are sorry to hear that the customers feels that we did not handle his situation to his satisfaction. The hours of our Service Dept are 8:00am to 4:30pm so Morgan would be unable to contact anyone beyond those times. In order to attempt to accommodate the customer she thought perhaps communicating via email would be a better fit as their schedule did not allow phone contact during our normal business hours. Also as we do not usually schedule service calls on weekends Morgan needed to get Management authorization for this. After getting approval she was able to coordinate a Saturday with the Service Tech and at that time emailed the customer back to set this up. We are scheduled to repair the issue this Saturday 1/11/2020. Again we are very sorry to hear that the customer does not feel we handled the situation to his satisfaction. We are currently scheduled to repair the issue this Saturday as per the customer's request for a time outside our normal business hours. As always we will continue to honor our warranty.

I have been contacted by a bath fitter representative every day starting June 30, 2019 during business hours. I have repeatedly asked to be removed from their call list and no longer be called.

Today July 2, 2019 I received another call while I was at work.

They are more concerned about harassing someone who was interested in doing business but no longer is. They continue to insist on setting up an appointment.

So sorry that this is happening, I will have the numbers that he has provided removed from our call list immediately. Thank you.

I am surprised to see that Revdex.com have given this company an A+.
I had a huge problem with this company.
1. The salesman Gerry comes and gives you an estimate without taking your needs into consideration. When you complain the estimate is too high, he offers discounts, throwing around dollar figures and ultimately comes back to the original figure. He is RUDE and tries to scam you.
2. No technical person came to take EXACT DIMENSIONS AS MENTIONED IN THEIR BROCHURE. They went by dimensions taken by Gerry a non technical person, who maybe cannot spell tape measure.
3. They did the job which was not only sloppy but half done and then the pressure to sign off on the rest of the money.
4. It gets better. I had to make several calls to the chief Installer named Cathy, who refused to come and take a look. She sent a junior installer to come and fix my new toilet bowl which the previous crew had broken.
Since I was calling up Cathy to send somebody who knew their job to fix their mistakes, she told me IT WOULD COST ME MORE MONEY.
Next SHE THREATENED ME THAT SHE WOULD COME WITH HER WORKERS AND BREAK MY SHOWER AND TOILET. "Good Customer Service" right? She admitted she was not a technical person.
5. I ultimately tracked down the
Regional Manager, who
reimbursed me for the crookedly
installed shower door.
I am still waiting for them to replace or reimburse me for the crookedly installed shower tub.
6. In spite of telling Gerry and Cathy that I am an associate Architect they still tried to scam me.
It would be pertinent for Revdex.com to throughly vett the company before giving them an A+.
So, what would be next? The Attorney General's Office? Lawsuit?

I was originally quoted a price to fix my bathtub for 2,005 on 6-29-2018 and told Laura I needed some time to think about the cost. The next day (6/30) Laura , the sales person texted me to tell me that "I can offer you a 16% discount for the tub liner, $1610 less $257 bring the price to $1353." I was excited it was less then what original quote but I was hoping she would be able to do it for 1,200. She then told me she "made a mistake to add the drain kit for $115 and that $1,300 was going to be the best offer" she can give me. I figured it was going to be the best offer and decided to do the work with Laura and Bath Fitter. We made an appointment to stop by my work on 6/30 on her way home from another appointment in order to pick up the "25% deposit of $325 and the 975 on completion". Laura stopped by work around 4:30 to pick up the $325 check. At this point she mentioned she made a mistake yet again forgetting the formed front (f) and that it would now cost 1500 but she would eat the cost of the 100 and be up to 1400. I told you 1300 on the phone today, she said I will do it then called the supervisor to confirm for 1300. Supervisor called back to tell her "No" and that 1400 was the final cost that they would be able to do. I told her that I was not here to continue playing games with prices, she kept "forgetting" to put these extra items that she already knew I needed. Making promises she was not able to keep and getting my hopes up. During work hours, I was no longer able to discuss this further and asked her to leave and no longer want to do it.

I have resolved my complaint with the company. Please closed it and resolved . They contacted me and I was able to settle with them.

I have been badgered with calls for several months. I have emailed them twice requesting that they stop, that I was no longer interested in their products. One day they called 4 times!!
My last email warned that I would file a complaint if they continued.
I got another call this morning.

Bath Fitter- Albany Response

she has not been called since 10/2 one time the notes stipulate not to call due to Revdex.com complaint NO ONE HAS CALLED HER since then. she signed up and expressed interest through the website giving her information and phone number. she went through the website and said not to call and if she is called again she will complain to Revdex.com –she sent that on 10/3 we have not called .

Bath fitters installed a tub insert that has a buckle, a grab bar that is scraped and a wall with a gap between the wall and tub that a finger can fit in. Bath Fitter is not responding to my complaint.

Customer Response

They are coming the 9th regarding the buckle, but have responded to the other issues.
