I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find the resolution is satisfactory to me Regards, [redacted] ***

We contacted customer on 9/9/and informed him that we would honor his request of cancellation and refund

For the sake of resolving this complaint, we will agree that there must have been a mis-communication between sales rep and customer regarding deposit We will refund remaining deposit immediately We apologize for the misunderstanding

*** *** entered contract
with Ohio Bath Solutions, LLC dba Bath Fitter on 12/3/12. The customer purchased the following:
White Acrylic Tub LinerWhite Smooth WallWhite Corner CaddyWhite Security BarChrome By-Pass Shower Doors Made by *** with
Clear GlassChrome Personal
Handsprayer with a wall mount
and diverter made by ***Chrome *** T-MTS Valve/FaucetChrome PDrain
The purchase price was $6,the
customer put $down as a deposit and FINANCED the remaining balance through
a finance company. The purchase included
a Lifetime Warranty on Labor and Materials
On 1/11/13, Bath Fitter installed
the job. Customer was happy and signed
completion certificate that stated to that effect.
Since the job has been installed,
we have continued to service the job whenever Ms*** called. We have repaired the tub one time. The other service issues relate to the
shower doors, as they continued to go off track. Never once did we not respond to the
customer, thus we held up our end of the contract. In fact, we even upgraded the shower doors
for free, to a new and improved heavier version of the original doors. The issue now of the customer getting water
on the floor is an easy fix, that we would gladly complete free of charge. In fact, we were scheduled to just that on
1/9/but the customer was not home, despite making the appointment with our
technician. Our technician waited at the customer’s
house this Saturday for an hour, free of charge to try and rectify this minor
issue
It is our experience, that this
amount of service calls usually involves some level of neglect by the customer,
but we stand by our product nonetheless.
That being said, we have nothing to do with the financing of this job
and that contract is between the customer and the finance company. We remind the customer and the Revdex.com that we
offer a full lifetime warranty as long as the customer owns their home, not a
money back guarantee. Our product deals
with water. Water by its very nature is
destructive. Additionally, there are
mechanical devices, i.edoors, valves etcinvolved. This is why we offer a warranty. Mechanical devices like automobiles sometimes
fail. Water sometimes causes items to
degrade. Our product is built to last
better than any other system in the wet area of a bathroom, however, it still
must be properly maintained and cared for.
We ask our customers to help in this process but if the product fails
beyond the scope of their capabilities, we will gladly repair, as long as they
own their home. From our vantage point,
this is what we were contracted to do
Therefore, we stand ready,
willing, and able to repair the unit, but we do not agree to any refund
whatsoever including the customer to cease making payments on her loan with a
tertiary finance company
Sincerely,Aaron G***

To Whom It May Concern:Bath Fitter completed a tub liner and wall installation for this customer on 8/9/ At completion of the installation on 8/9/16, the customer gave us a check representing the balance due of $3500.00, but the check was returned as non-sufficient funds. Before the
installation took place, our installer completed an inspection of the customer’s existing tub and noted that the customer’s existing tub already drained slowly We have attached a job inspection report for your review, which includes the customer’s signature acknowledging this information, which she is now denyingOur installation manager met with the customer on 8/26/to explain that Bath Fitter only connects our drain to the customer’s existing drain She complained to him that her tub never drained this slowly So he did an inspection of the drain through an access panel in her kitchen cupboard He removed pea gravel away from the drain and trap and he found the drain lines were galvanized piping He found no leaks but noted the drain lines were old He also plunged the tub drain for the customer and was able to get the water to go down He then ran the water and it took seconds for the tub to start to back up, indicating the problem was much further down the customer’s existing drain line, and not where Bath Fitter tied into the drain The installation manager explained this to the customer but she insisted that Bath Fitter do something about it In the interest of good customer service, we scheduled an appointment with *** at our expense At that time, the customer agreed that if the problem was with her existing plumbing, it would be her responsibility to fix At this time, the customer gave the installation manager another check for payment. On 8/29/at 8AM, ***, Bath Fitter, and the customer’s husband were present for the snaking of the drain They were only able to get the snake 8-feet down the drain line *** advised that the drain line was rusted shut in the foundation and that the customer’s husband was aware the customer is responsible for fixing this We have attached the *** invoice with results from the appointment We also attached acknowledgment from the customer’s husband that the issue was not with the work that Bath Fitter performed *** advised the husband that they would come out the following day to provide an estimate to fix the rusted pipe The customer was advised the cost for repairs to their existing plumbing would be $5, The customer then stopped payment on the 2nd check she had given us.The repairs to the customer’s existing plumbing line is not the responsibility of Bath Fitter and is clearly stated on our contract, which is also attached for your review Bath Fitter completed this installation as contracted and the customer should remit payment for the balance due of $3,
