Review: Entered into a contract on 3/29/16 with company to remodel my bathroom. They took 1/3 of payment (2,793.00) out on the day I entered into the contract. Someone called me two weeks later to tell me they could start on May 11, 2016 ,but they would need to take 2nd payment out ($2, 793.00). That second payment was made to them (via Discover card) on or around 4/12/2016. No one showed to start work on May 11, 2016. I called this company to inqure what happened. They told me that I would be scheduled for the week of 6/13/2016. No one called or arrived on that day, either. I then notified the main office in another part of the country. That office told Bath Splendor to call me, and my work was reschedule for July 6, 2016. The morning of July 6, 2016, the installer called to say that the materials were cracked, and they had to return it. I was told it would be another 3-6 weeks for work to start. Around July 8, 2016, Terry (one of the owners) called me to say it would be another 3-6 weeks. He said they went out of business, but he would still honor my contract. He also told me that he pulled out of ownership a few months prior, because he didn't like the way they were doing business. It has been over 6 weeks, and I have not heard anything. I've attempted to call, and get no return calls.Desired Settlement: I wanted refunded the $5,586.00 (in full/lump sum) that I have given this company to perform services that were never started/completed.

Review: On April 6, 2016 BathPlanets representative (Tom W[redacted]) came to my home as a result of my call to see about replacing my shower/bath. He came out, told me that they the the Good Housekeeping seal of approval, and sold me on the idea it was worth the price, I picked the color of the tub, the surround and the door. They required a downpayment of 25% of the total of cost and labor. I wrote a check for $2,500.00 dollars it cleared my bank the next day. I was told it would take about 2 months and they would contact me and arrange to have their installers come out, well the time passed and when I called here they are out of business, no notification, no refund. My call was routed to another Bathplanet in Maryland, they sympathized with me and gave me the number of the acrylic company who supplies their product, I called the at 1-800-963-8827 they also sympathized with me. I found out later that the owners name is Clarence M[redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like to have my deposit returned, I wrote a check which cleared and I have squat.

Review: On 2/13/16 we met with Kevin, a sales rep for Bath Planet. We decided to remodel our bathtub/ shower and signed a contract on that day. We made a deposit of $1500 (by placing a charge on our personal credit card) and financed the rest of our $6000 total with them. Our contract stated that the project would start in 6-8 weeks and would take 1-2 days to complete. Its been 10 weeks and we have never been contacted by Bath Planet for our installation. My husband called the number listed on our contract and got no answer. After searching the internet he found another number but was redirected. After calling again someone took his name and number but never called him back. After more phone calls (where no one would even pick up the phone) my husband called our sales rep. He no longer works for the company but gave us the number of the owners. We've called, left a message, and asked them to call us back within 24 hours or we would file a compliant and cancel our deposit with our credit card company. We still have had no return contact.Desired Settlement: I am taking it upon myself to call our credit card company to cancel the charge on our card. I want assurance that Bath Planet will not fight this or put the charge through with their financing company as they have broken the contract and not done any work on our bathroom. Though this appears to be a company that has been around for a while, I'm still not sure this wasn't a scam to get money since no one even answers the phone at their "company" and want to inform others.

Review: On March 10, 2016, we signed a contract with BathPlanet to have our bathroom remodeled. Approximate start date was 6-8 weeks. We put $5,000 down and were to pay the balance upon completion. BathPlanet cashed our check the next day, but have not purchased any materials yet (I contacted their main office regarding this). It's now almost 2-1/2 months, and this is plenty of time for them to do this work. I do not have a start date, and now they are upset at me for contacting them so much. Since they are upset, I definitely do not want them remodeling our bathroom. I don't trust them.Desired Settlement: I want our $5,000 returned to us. They did not perform this work, and I truly believe they do not intend to do it.

Review: We had our one bathroom redone by Bath Planet of Western PA in May 2105. They used a bathtub that was not their own product (fraudulent product) which cracked within 7 months.(December 2015) This franchise went out of business while the installation was in process. After much stress, the corporate office of bath planet-BCI- [redacted] referred us to another franchise - Bath Planet of South Western PA to redo our entire shower/tub area since it was impossible to replace the tub without removing the walls. Bath Planet of Southwestern PA came in and the job they did was totally unacceptable- the bathtub was too small and left a 2inch gap between the tub and our ceramic floor. The acrylic walls were cut uneven, the shelving hung crooked and the caulking job looked like it was done by a first grader. We waited 4 weeks for them to come back to try to repair the bathroom. Another workman of theirs came and again, had to tear out all the walls and ended up building out the back wall to make the tub meet the ceramic floor. He had to replace the plumbing to make it "fit" the new location of the tub. He also placed the tub on dry wall to raise it off the ground to "fit" the space. We now have bath fixtures that do not line up - i.e. shower head, faucet, and water control handle are all off center and walls are uneven. Too make matters worse, the first time we turned on the water, the tub drain leaks. It appears like the drain is not connected to the tub. We have been waiting 4 weeks for them to come in and repair this and have received all kinds of excuses. Today the individual did not show after I waited all morning for their scheduled appointment. I have contacted Terry V[redacted],the owner numerous times, and we are now waiting for an independent plumber to fix the problems they have created. We have not been able to use this shower and tub since December of 2015 which is totally unacceptable and they do not seem to understand this.Desired Settlement: We want the plumbing problem fixed immediately so we can use this shower and tub. In addition, we are requesting a full refund of our original payment to Bath Planet for this shower/tub install. We will need to have this shower area totally redone by another company. Bath Planet uses fraudulent selling practices and they cannot deliver the services that they claim. Please investigate this business and I hope that no other customer has to go through what we have gone through. Thank you.
