Bathroom Boyz Reviews (3)

We hired The Bathroom Boyz, AKA, Gregory G’s Construction (owned by Greg Gillespie) to completely remodel our only Levittowner bathroom Greg said it would take “about a week.” After shopping for tile, vanity, lights, etc., he increased the price by $1, They demolished the bathroom in one day and we were told that night that additional plumbing work needed to be done before going further My husband and myself were each told a different reason for the extra $in plumbing After the second payment of three, work went extremely slow Here are some of the many problems that occurred during the next weeks:
• Floor tile was put in without leveling and the grout was done improperly• Two of the four walls are not square and are slanted; one being in the tub area• Wall tiles are uneven, spaces between uneven, some cracked and crooked, and grout was done improperly and has many different colors of gray with cracks and holes Wall tile also has grout on the tile in many areas In a corner, the wall tile is pushed into the wall• There is caulk in some of the grout areas instead of grout• Medicine cabinet was not sealed and has open air coming out on the top• They dropped tile into the toilet flange which ended up causing a clog and water to come out of the bottom of the toilet We had to hire a plumber and the toilet had to be snaked and reseated• The light over the medicine cabinet was placed about inches too high & is almost touching the ceiling• The tub faucet was not secured properly and needs to be held down to turn the shower on and at one point caused the water to not run• Greg never made a diagram as to how the subway (wall) tile was supposed to be placed and we had to work on the spot with the workers who came• Vanity was supposed to be painted and it was never painted or installed• We agreed on crown molding around the ceiling and Greg never took that into consideration and the wall tile was placed up to the ceiling This created a gap where the tile started from the wall that was not tiled• The spackling was never finished nor done correctly, and the painting was never completed• By the fourth Monday, Greg argued with us and ultimately agreed the job was “unprofessional.” He agreed to come back and redo the tile and finish the rest of the work, but never came back nor contacted usSeveral contractors have advised us that our bathroom has to be completely redone At least one of these contractors has also stated that they have redone numerous bathrooms that were originally done by The Bathroom Boyz Please think hard before hiring The Bathroom Boyz, AKA, Gregory G’s Construction and find someone else

Review: We hired the Bathroom Boyz for a full bathroom renovation in the spring of 2010. Included in the renovation they installed a new wet bed and tiled shower. The shower was done incorrectly and begn showing water damage in the ceiling of the kitchen below within several weeks of completion. The Bathroom Boyz opened a large hole in the kitchen ceiling and caulked the shower. The hole remained open for 2 months, was finally sealed and repainted. This same process was repeated 2 more times over the next 18 months. Once again we are now seeing water damage to the kitchen ceiling and have tried to get the contractor to address this issue for 2 months. When we call from home the calls go unanswered. When we use a different phone number, [redacted] has answered and promised to send someone out aon a specific day. We have made arrangements to be home those days and no one has come out. We had no problems with our original bathroom, just wanted to update.Desired Settlement: The shower needs a new wet bed and new tile for it to be functioning. We have not used it in 2 months as we do not want to fix and paint the ceiling again or damage to the kitchen floors and cabinetry.

This company is associated with Gregory G,s Restoration. contact went well. Dealt with Greg on the project. Showed up timely and work began. Staff was pleasant and very courteous. Always covering non work area with drop cloths. Work was done timely. The problem happen at the very end. Vanity was installed improperly leaving a gap in between the wall which was small at the top and got much larger towards the front. . It was as almost as it was not lined up correctly. This caused the marble baseboard to be gapped also. The marble top on the vanity was also scratched by the crew I would think by placing tools on top,of it. The vanity was not scratched previously out of the box because I and the crew inspected it throughly. The final crew also did not caulk. When I reported this to Greg to said a member of his crew would be back. The crew never showed the day that was promised and we never received a phone call. I have called 3 times and texted with no reply. I know I am being ignored. Of course I did my part and paid this contractor in full and found the problem after the crew left.
