Was promised Solar Panel solution with battery backup. Solar panels installed after a month delay with hybrid hot water heater, but no battery backup
In March of 2018, I purchased a solar panel system for installation from BatteryStorage.com after receiving access of several dealers through a website like www.solar-estimate.org. I went with this dealer because I wanted the battery backup solution and not just the solar power. Financing was initially setup and permits were requested. After a month delay due the misplacement of the Plans, the solar panel part of the system was delivered and installed along with a new hybrid hot water heater. The system past inspection after an initial loose connection was discovered, and financing payment was released with the promise of returning to install the battery backup at a later date, no more than two months later. The battery backup has never been delivered. We had several repeated calls with company personnel, but found each time someone left the company starting with our sale rep. Last October was promised that the issue would be solved in the next ninety days. At the end of this year I will need to payoff the loan portion in the equivalent amount of the Federal Tax Credit for the purchase of the system which would be approximately what I would estimate the value of the battery backup portion to be.

Desired Outcome

Would like a refund for the battery backup portion of the system to find another dealer that could supply a replacement.

Solar system was installed in Jan 2018 and battery backup delivered in Feb, I cannot get them to return and hook it up. Also cannot make contact!I was
I was sold a 8500 watt system in Dec 2017 installed in Jan , had issues with permits, needed 3 different as built drawings done to get permit signed off and electric company able to change meter, took almost two months! They delivered the backup battery and said they couldn't hook it up until meter was changed? Tried to get a set up time twice and then phone service for company went silent. My salesman David K he has broken contact I may have to stop my loan payment.

Desired Outcome

Stay away from this company, they are unreliable.
Their minority partner convinced me that a contract I had for a 10 kW Domestic Solar supply system was no good and they could meet the price including battery storage/back-up system, new high efficiency hot water heater and an attic fan. I signed up and sat back and waited. Well after 4 weeks they came with all kinds of reasons trying to get out of the contract, even introduced me to an other company willing to do the job with less scope. I was informed by their senior partner that my down payment would be refunded. Never got the money.

Contracted for a home solar system with battery backup. Paid 100%. Did not get 80% of the job done. Now company refuses to uphold contract.
Contracted with this company on 4/25/18 for a home solar system with battery backup. Paid $28,000. solar panels installed in June & bank loan released to them for 100% payment. From the start solar panels at first did not work properly, they made adjustments and then produce only 25% of the power I need. they promised 90-100% at sale, said I would virtually never get another electric bill. Reality is I only save about $50 per month. Additionally, battery back up system was not installed until July, and it has never worked. Repeated excuses and attempts at repair did not work over 5 months. On 10/31 I lost power and it could not be restored. I had to hire another company to come out (since they did not respond for my emergency calls for assistance). The new electrician had to completely bypass the system to restore power. The battery system failed and could not be revived. It is also installed incorrectly and would never have worked. This company and it's owner should not be in business. No one should ever use them. EVER. Not professional, not competent and they do not stand by their contract.

Desired Outcome

I would like a refund of 50% of the money I paid for the system plus out of pocket expenses = $15,000. I would like them to submit my claim (which I have provided them) to their insurance carrier for handling & resolution.

I contracted Battery Storage.com to install solar panels on my roof and this phase was promptly accomplished. I then contracted the same company to install a battery back-up storage system and placed another deposit of $2,000 into CEO David K's hand but the installation was neither started nor finished and they refuse to return MY $2,000 deposit. I hope you can help before I start legal proceedings. my prayer is that you can. thanks in advance for any help. sincerely, ***

Battery Backup.com has refunded my $2,000 deposit. I would still NEVER do business with them again nor would I ever recommend them to ANYONE else. They're definitely a rip off. I regret doing business with them. Thanks for your help. Sincerely

Paid in full. Has to passed I spection. Still missing components.
I obtained a solar loan through the company and they've already been paid. Since the beginning, the company has had communication issues and have provided shoddy work. They have arrived on their own schedule, brought the wrong equipment and supplies, and Pinellas County inspectors have yet to approve their installation. They have failed inspection once and scheduled a reinspection when I would not be home, so that one failed as well. Now the permit is "abandoned" because it has taken so long, and I cannot get anyone to tell me what is currently transpiring. Whenever I finally talk to the only contact who sometimes answers my calls, he pretends as if it's the first time we've spoken. Through research, I've discovered that the owner (Carl B) made headlines in Orlando for leaving people without finished projects under a different company name (***). Now I have found that Batterystorage(.)com will now be ***. I just checked the Revdex.com website, and it seems other people have similar issues to mine. They weren't even on there when I hired them. If cannot successfully sue or have the project completed, I'm going to have to abandon the loan. I can't pay 10s of thousands of dollars for something that doesn't and hasn't ever worked. I have never before missed a payment in my life....

Desired Outcome

I either want a significant refund so I can have someone else finish the job,or I simply want what I paid for.

This company is installed a solar panel system that is not working properly.
Batterystorage.com installed a solar panel system that is not working properly. It's working at about 30%. Since it has been installed back in May/June they had to commit numerous times because they still can't get the system working right. From software updates to wiring the safety shutoff backwards to God knows what. I have call numerous times. To Carl B which all he does is hang up on me and call me a "***" I've called the CEO Josh D and he has not returned my calls. I've called Reggie the electrician all he does is let his calls go to voice mail. They have set up appointments and never showed up nor called to reschedule. When I've called to see why they never showed up they don't reply. They are completely unprofessional. Since they installed my system over 4 employees of that I know have left the company because of the way they are conducting business. This company has taken the money from ygrene and just ran off with it. I highly recommend that you never do any business with them.

Desired Outcome

I want a full refund because they have not fixed it after many failed attempts to do so. They are

Company has not requested a permit from the city for the installation nor have they provided an engineering diagram. JEA requires both of these.
Batterystorage.com contacted me to purchase a battery back up system for my solar power system for my house. They stated that thier system qualified for a new rebate program from JEA which would provide me with a $4,000 rebate from JEA. We signed the contract on April 26th that included a 4.96 battery back up system and 3 additional solar pannels. Several emails were sent to the sales rep David K to determine the install date. Most of these emails were not returned. On Jun 12th I finally received a response from David that they would install the system on Jun 15th. the company showed up to install the system but didn't have the correct cabinet that I ordered. I went ahead and allowed them to install the system in a different location that would fit the cabinet that they did have on hand. After the installation I submitted an application for the JEA rebate. I found out that the company never got a permit from the city for the electric installation and they didn't submit the engineering diagram to JEA. JEA and I have sent several emails and some text messages to David K, Todd (VP of Operations, never recieved last name - was text only) and Connie office administrator indicating that these items needed to be submitted to JEA or they would not provide me with the rebate. David pushed the topic to Todd; Todd stated he would provide the engineering docs in a few days this was on 7/30. He also stated several times that a battery installation didn't require a permit or inspection. I pointed out to him that JEA is requiring it and he still denied that it was needed. I followed up with JEA after two weeks and was not able to get a hold of Edgar, my contact at JEA. however Edgar finally got back with me Aug 24th via email that the type of battery back up system didn't qualify for the $4k rebate program. He also stated that he still had not received the engineering diagram and permit. He said if he could get that, I would be able to qualify for a 30% rebate up to $2,000. I immediately sent an email to David and copied Connie attached the email from Edgar and explained to David the issue. As of 9/06, I have not had a response from anyone at BatterySTorage.com regarding my complaints. At this point I am not even sure if the system they installed is even working. They said it would integrate with my current PV system. But my consumption reports from the PV system have not shown any changes that would support that the battery back up is working, nor has the consumption on my JEA bill.

Desired Outcome

I would like the company to either 1. get a permit for the system they installed and get the system properly inspected by the city. Also to figure out why the reports for the pv system do not show the additional solar pannels and are not showing a production increase, and prove that the battery is being utilized when the PV system is not in use. Then i would like them to submit the proper documentation to JEA to get the $2K rebate. The company should then pay me the difference for the $4k rebate that was promised. 2. if the company doesn't find that acceptable i would like them to remove the equipment from my home, return it to its original condition, and provide me with a full refund including the interest incurred on the loans to purchase the system.

I was sold this system to eliminate the power bill n it nearly has by 25% also the batteries back up hasent work since installed and no help offered
I was sold this system to eliminate my power bill but only $150 out of $350 a month has been accomplished also has had water leacks in several spots in my roof also I was sold a battery back up system that can't handle the load of the house and no one has fixed it yet and the company refuses to install more panels to eliminate bill like I was promised I've invested $60,000 and the only thing I have to show for it's $150 savings in my bill I was told by the seller that quit that he will testify about this and that they also have another 8 customers with similar problems witch they has failed to help. Pls I need help with this I'm paying $400 a month with my mortgage company to cover the panels and $300 for the batteries and I also have to pay over $250 to the power company this company has taken advantage of me

Desired Outcome

All I want it's for the batteries to work and hold all night like I was promised and the panels to cover the power bill like it was told to me when the seller came to my house selling it to me I fell like they are taking advantage of customers

Batterystorage.com Response • Aug 07, 2018

This issue happened before I joined this company. However, I have spoken with Mr. on numerous occasions to resolve this issue and we have come to an agreement that he is satisfied with.

Customer Response • Aug 18, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The company changed the battery bank for additional panels on the roof but now I have a water leak on the roof right below the new panels that were installed and also the system has been down since the installation of the new panels the inverter it's giving me error 8206 meaning a loose connection somewhere in the system accordingly to the sunny boy website so I haven't been able to use the system at all since the code appeared the company says they will come but it's been a week and half and no date has been set for coming back to fix the issue please help me get them here so I can finally finish this!!!! I need to get this system operating at 100%

I have paid this company in full. They have installed solar panels in my home but the system is still not working. Its been 2 month, and they can not pass inspection it seems. I have tried several times to get an update, but they cant give me a definite answer. I called the manager, who at one point had called me to see if a can give him more of a down payment and I did. Now that I called him to try and resolve this issue, he tells me he is no longer in charge of my area. I have panels on my home and feel that they are dragging their feet to finish the job since they got paid in full. I feel that they should pay my electric bill until they get me up and running.
Product_Or_Service: 12/20/2017

Desired Outcome

Billing Adjustment I got solar panels to reduce my monthly bills. The solar panels have been installed for 2 months but they are not operational because of inspections. I want them t pay my electric bill for the last 2 months to make up for the time that my solar system is inoperable.
