I am sending the information to this email address because we have experienced closure and reduced operations due to COVID-19.Below, you will find the body of the letter written and mailed to the complainer which provides an explanation of events and how we responded. As per your instructions, her personal information was left off of this correspondence.

We are very sorry for the trouble you have had hearing from us and getting a refund. As I am sure you are aware, *** ordered WV indoor recreational facilities to close in March. Battlearium has been closed from 03/18/20 until 05/13/2020 for COVID-19. In fact, we are still not open to full capacity.

Between 3/18/2020 and 3/20/2020, I personally contacted (via phone and via email) every party who had booked to relay that we would offer a one year rain check on bookings or we would issue a refund if necessary. It appears I inadvertently missed you in my efforts to contact every one. However, since we have been closed, we did not get your communications until just recently.

Your party that was scheduled on May 9, 2020, has now been officially canceled and you will find the refund check enclosed for the amount you paid at your time of booking.

Please again, accept our apologies for the breakdown in communication. We hope this letter finds you and your family well as we are hopefully putting this pandemic behind us.
