Review: Car dealer has a lot of deceptive practice in vehicle price and trade in payoff they sold use a vehicle more then value at the the time of purchase, On April 9,2013

Dealer has left us owing and paying for both cars in questions and being upside down estimated of $25,000k owe Apple credit union now $44900 on a car that's only worth $22000 to $25000,

The Sales Manager Finance Director at the time told us that the 2010 [redacted] was booking for that much since then we haven't been able to refinance or trade out of the bad loan.Desired Settlement: I would like for this dealership to be liable for the extra debt that we now have to be burden with every month.

until we can either get a Lawyer or get out the vehicle all at once.

Dear **. [redacted],

I am responding to the complaint of **- [redacted]. The reason her balance is more than the vehicle is because of the thousands and thousands of negative equity of the vehicle she traded and rolled over into her new loan. We have explained this numerous times to her but she does not seem to understand.

There was nothing done wrong on our part and there is nothing further we will be doing. This matter is closed as far as we are concerned.

Sincerely,

Review: I took my [redacted] to Battlefield Ford for service on January 17, 2014. I requested an oil change, tire rotation, and for them to look at the miss in the engine. While my truck was there the service adviser called and stated they could not find the wheel lock to rotate the tires. I returned their call and they said they found a wheel lock and would rotate the tires. When I picked up my vehicle we were told the tire rotation and the oil change were completed and the diagnostics test said cylinder 4 has a misfire but the dealership/service department did not address nor fix this issue, so my truck still has a miss in the engine. After looking at the receipt the tire rotation was requested by the service adviser, we were told the tire rotation was completed but the tech states it was not completed. There was engine oil on the inside of my door, on my steering wheel and oil hand prints all over the truck. The trucks computer was not reset,so as of 2/25 the computer says the oil level is at 29%, I have only driven 2,000 since the supposed oil change on 1/17. There was no "next service date" sticker placed in the window. I spoke with the service manager one time, and he was going to call me back after figuring out the situation with the adviser and tech. I still have not received a return phone call. I have tried to call him 3 times and left voice mails as well as messages with service, still no return call. My truck was taken for services that were not completed and was left with engine oil on the interior, the truck computer was not reset, there is still a miss in the engine and my tires were not rotated.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the amount paid on 1/17/14 in the amount of $38.62. This refund amount can be credited to my Ford Owner Rewards Account OR can be refunded back to my payment method.

Response:

I took care of this customer a couple weeks ago. His girlfriend brought it in and I gave them a loaner car and I drove it for 2 days, did a full service for free and rechecked the engine miss. He's very happy.

I am rejecting this response because:

Review: Some time near the middle to end of June I left my [redacted] for some repair related to overheating of the engineAfter a "diagnostic" I was told I would need to replace my water cooler, thermostat and timing beltThe costs of these repairs was just over $After getting my vehicle returned to me, just one week later, I began to have a start up problemMy engine would start in a very rough fashion and after a day of this, the check engine light started to flash and then eventually turned over to a consistent onIt was discovered oil had flooded my spark plug compartmentWith the spark plugs submerged, start up would become roughI was told this would cost me about $to repairThe "repairs" were completed and I received my vehicleOnly a day or two later, I began to experience a rough start up issue yet againThe check engine light returnedTook it in to Battlefield for "repairs" to correct the start up issue and once again my vehicle was returned to meWithin another couple of days, the start up issue returnedThe check engine light did not immediately come on as in times passed, but within another day the light returned and it was back to the dealership to conduct
"repairs." I was told some additional matters were addressedThese took a few days and I had to rent a vehicle to the tune of $out of pocketReceived the vehicle back on 7/11/and told it was "fixed." The next morning, I started it up and immediately the check engine light started flashing due to a rough start upTook it straight into the service departmentWas told a couple of days later no issue was discoveredI asked how could this be when I am continuing to have rough start ups and there was no adequate responseDrove the [redacted] for about another week and a half and yet again the start up issue returnedLeft it at the dealerThey told me one of the new spark plugs they had just installed was badIt did not appear they checked into anything that could explain why the new spark plug had already gone badThey also conducted a Virginia Safety Inspection which they discovered I needed based on my windo decal, but did not find I needed an emissions inspection which I didReceived the car back upon a return from a trip out of town and drove it for a couple of weeksI was still having rough start ups, however they were not causing the check engine light to come onA fully repaired vehicle does not continue to have the same issueOne day the check engine light did come onAdditionally, one day my car overheated on my way home from workAt this point I was done with going to Battlefield Ford for them to try to make things rightInstead all I got in return was a vehicle that never worked properly after their "repairs" and it seemingly coming out worse than before I left itI took my vehicle to my local trusted mechanic to take a lookFor the short time they had it, they could not replicate my issue, but did find a few other issuesWhile these were maintenance issues, their cost was highThey included new tires, new brake pads and rotors (which showed rust and wear), and new strutsThey also discovered an oil leak, which they said looked like it had been there a whileThey also could tell me everything that had been recently "repaired." Seeing as I was recently in Battlefield's service department they should have caught thisWhen I asked, they indicated these should be done right awayI found this curious so I asked more because I said I had just had this vehicle in and out of a service department, shouldn't they have caugt these? The response was, they should haveCouple these issues with the ones I had already paid Battlefield to "fix" and I would have never done them in the first place if Battlefield had advised me of themThe high cost of the repairs did not make sense in light of how little the car was worthI would have sooner sold it for parts for $then paid Battlefield the money I did to "fix" it, and as alluded, they never really fixed my problems
My problem here is that Battlefield did not adequately assess the health of my vehicleMy local mechanic had this car for little over an hour and discovered a myriad of further immediate need problemsBattlefield probably had this vehicle for close to half a month total over all the visits and did not discover these problems, of if they did, they ignored them and never told me about themWhat is more shocking is that as part of a Virginia Safety Inspection, the inspection station must remove a tire to inspect the brake wear, tires and strutsIf they had done this, which perhaps seems unlikely given that I was not advised about it, they would have told me my pads and rotors need replacing and that the tread of my tires were wornAdditionally that my struts were shot and causing uneven wear on my tiresThen there was the oil leaking all over my engineAll problems Battlefield should have discovered and failed to do soIn the end, I paid out a lot of money for them to fix these problems, and never got a fixed carI do not believe Battlefield is entitled to have my money since I never received the level of service, i.erepair, that I should have when one takes their vehicle to a service shop
I contacted Ford Motor Corporation about thisThey were happy to hear from me as if they do not hear from customers they do not know what is taking place at their independent dealersWhile they could not do much immediately for my problem, they did note the experience I hadThey informed me if enough complaints are received, Battlefield could lose their licenseI intend to make this a priority by commenting on complaint boards and review websitesI have read in other places online of customers having issues with Battlefield's Service department and I do not think they know if they report to Ford, Battlefield could lose its licenseThe customer associate I spoke with said they would send an e-mail to the service manager regarding my conversation with Ford Motor CorpI called on 8/22/I followed up with the Service Manager directly on 8/26/and had to leave a voicemailTo date I have received no communication from Battlefield.Desired Settlement: I am asking for Battlefield to immediately refund the entirety of my repair bills coming out to approximately a little over $I also am asking for consequential expenditures related to the rental vehicle that I had to acquire while my car was in the repair shopAll together they total approximately $I never received a fully repaired vehicleThe month and a half of back and forth trips shows they could not adequately repair my vehicleTo date it is still not completely repaired in the ways they said they "repaired" my vehicle

Response:
In speaking with my service department, I don't feel that Battlefield did any improper work or falsely performed unnecessary workIt is our opinion that all the repairs were done and were needed at the time they were performedWe fixed the overheating problem, then one week later it starts to misfireThere is no correlation between the issuesAs for the issues of the other service facility recommending some maintenance items, all of the mentioned items passed VA safety inspectionIf those parts needed repair they would not have passed
Thanks,

Review: My 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee which was also purchased at Battlefield Ford was towed there due to the starter failing on the vehicle on 07/03/2013. When purchasing the vehicle we chose to purchase Fords extended warranty plan with roadside assistance and were told by [redacted] in the service dept that we could tow it to any ford dealership and have the service done since we had the warranty, we chose to have it towed to the dealership we purchased it from. The vehicle was picked up 12:00pm on 7/03 and I had confirmed with the service department my cell phone number as a contact number so I could hear back as soon as possible seeing how this is the only vehicle which me and my girlfriend whom is the co owner have. I contacted Battlefield Ford in excess of 4 times that afternoon only to be finally told "we cant look at it until friday", I said that is fine please keep me informed they said ok. On Friday 7/5/13 I once again contacted the service department at noon whom said the "technician is looking at the car now we wont have any estimate until hes done" ok I said, hours passed and about 3:30pm I called back and they still did not have any information for me then I asked to confirm my contact info to which they said "we dont have anything on file" ok I said and provided them with my cell phone number. About an hour Later [redacted] from the service dept called back and said "your vehicles starter is not going to be covered under the warranty, but we can get it done by monday for $400.00" then [redacted] continued on to tell me a list of items that needed "IMMEDIATE" attention which were the upper and lower balljoints, inner tie rod, left rear axle seal, and rack and pinion which could all be done along with the starter for a total of $3400, I said no thank you the Jeep dealership had already quoted the starter replacement at $260.00 so I informed him that I would arrange to have the vehicle towed to the Jeep dealer, and thats when [redacted] said "well before you do that I need you to pay the $109.93 which is due for the diagnostics" I had never been informed of any fee for the vehicle to be looked at and he said "thats because we didnt have any contact info for you". This whole ordeal has validated every bad review that has previously been posted about this dealership. I do not want anything other then other people to be aware of how poorly this dealership is ran and how they will try to use pressure tactics and I will not pay $109.93 for something I was never informed about.Desired Settlement: I do not want to be liable for a fee I was never informed of and want the service manager to take action in regards to his incompetent staff who failed to do their jobs.
