Battlefield Towing & Storage Reviews (9)

Discovered our 2nd car had been towed while in our own parking spot and yes, we had an HOA hangerWe didn't noticed right away but after we came home from workBattlefield is the company contracted by our HOA We went to pick up the car to the tune of $(would have been $more each day they kept it) and as we're driving away, we find our HOA hanger broken in pieces, piece under each front seat - no way did it break and fall down that way, not that far back under the front seats eitherBased on other reviews I doubt I'll get far with the man I was told to call (S***) but I intend to have a word with him and file a complaint with the Revdex.com and then with our HOAIt is ridiculous that they towed a car from a personal parking spot when no complaint had been made (Obviously because we parked our own car in our own parking spot!)Guess they're slow business wise, because we suspect they picked the lock or found the car unlocked (although we always lock-up)and then broke the hanger before towing our car...its the only plausible answer because We know the hanger was in the window the day before when we used the car Shame on them

This company refused to give me the contact information for the people that authorized my car to get towed. As far as I can tell, I was parked 100% legally in front of a house that I own. They claim the parking pass was invalid, but were not clear as to why. The fact that they refused to give contact information for the person that authorized this tow is just shady. When I went to pick up my car, I was treated like a convict. These people are obviously involved in predatory towing and they deserve a class action lawsuit.

Review: Battlefield Towing towed my car from the lot at [redacted], VA, [redacted], where it was legally parked. I have been parking there legally for over six years. Battlefield entered my car, removed my parking tag and then towed my car. I have ZERO doubt they took the tag, because the parking tag was displayed on the rear view mirror when I left the car at 9:00 pm. The tag is gone - totally missing now. Also, the tag rests in a narrow deep groove, and can't easily be dislodged. Manual dexterity is required to move or remove the tag.

When I picked up the car from Battlefield, the alarm chirped the signal to tell me that the car had been unlocked and relocked without the remote key. I have witnesses that the car chirped 4 times.Desired Settlement: 1. Total refund of the $175 charged to me.

2. Battlefield should stop compensating its employees per car towed.

Review: My brother drives a 2002 [redacted] that is store in [redacted], VA at my brother's apartment complex. Battlefield towed my car from the apartment complex with a valid parking pass because the car's registration was expired. My brother went to Battlefield and retrieved the car for $150 dollars and drove the car back to the complex only to find out the oil had been drained from the engine of the car, presumably for retribution from when my brother was heated with Battlefield personnel trying to get his car back. Now the car will not start because it was driven unknowingly without oil. The car had no issues with burning or leaking oil prior to being towed by Battlefield.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of charge and a letter from Battlefield acknowledging and apologizing for their apparent business practice of vehicle sabotage.

Review: On the night of November 8th, 2013, I parked my car in an overflow parking lot on the premises of the residential development that I live in ([redacted]), in [redacted], Virginia. We have a clubhouse, that is next to some tennis courts and a swimming pool, and the residents have been advised that we can park in this parking lot next to the clubhouse for overflow parking. The parking in my neighborhood is always very very tight, with not enough parking spaces for the people who live there and their visitors. My brother was visiting from out of town, and my driveway was occupied with his car. So, that night (Nov. 8th) I decided to park in the overflow parking lot on our premises. I parked there at about 10 p.m. and left my car there overnight, with the intention of picking it up in the morning and taking it out of the clubhouse parking lot. When my brother and daughter went out there Saturday morning (Nov. 9th) the car was gone. I called Battlefied Towing and they had the car. I went to Battlefield Towing in [redacted], paid the $175, and got my car back. I checked with [redacted], who is the president of our Homeowner's association, and he said that the car was towed wrongly and I would be due a refund of $175.00. That was on November 9th. Today is January 6th, 2014, and I have never received my refund and I want to file a complaint on this matter.Desired Settlement: To get a $175.00 refund on the Towing charge that I paid on Nov. 9th, 2013.

Review: My Vehicle was removed from the [redacted] parking lot Saturday January 18th approximately 1:00 am. Battlefield Towing required me to pay a towing/storage fee of $185.00 before they would release the vehicle. This would be described as "predatory towing".Virginia State Code requires that the parking/towing policy be clearly described on a sign at the entrance. There is no sign describing the parking policy, therefore my vehicle and several others were removed illegally. Also, there was no Representative from [redacted] authorizing the vehicles to be towed.Desired Settlement: The total tow/storage bill of $185.00 should be refunded.

Review: May 22 or May 23 they towed my 90 [redacted] (stick shift) without looking good enough for the permit. They towed not on a flatbed. They may have damaged the transmission. The attendent at the lot saw the parking permit on the floor. He was courteous.Desired Settlement: I just want my $160 back.

Review: Vehicle was towed illegally and I was not given a break down of the charges that were levied against me for them to release my vehicle from their impound. This company has highly unethical business practices and deplorable customer service. They will illegally tow vehicles and hold them ransom until you pay their outrageous charges. I have never been treated the way this company proceeded to treat me after towing my vehicle. This company has an impound lot with no personel on site that is about 20+ miles away from their main office. I had to wait over an hour for someone to show up and release my vehicle after following their "procedure" and notifying them 30 minutes prior to my arrival to claim my vehicle. During my wait I tried calling their office five times to get an ETA for someone to release my vehicle and everytime I tried to call the person who answer's the phone placed me on hold and never came back to my call. When I asked why I was being charged what they were charging me, the "manager" just laughed and told me that it was the "towing fee". This company should not be allowed to operate their business due to their unethicel behavior and because they just downright steal from people.Desired Settlement: I would like to have a refund on the "towing fees" that I was charged since they should not have towed my car in the first place.

Review: Battlefield towing company has towed my car in front of my apartment on 04/13/2014.

My car has a valid non-expired parking sticker from apartment management, and I have been leaving in this residence in last 9 months.

I called towing company to ask the reason for the towing, and they told me the car is using more than two parking spaces. I have been parking my car in the same parking space in last 9 months, and I park my car in the same way everytime I park. So, the reason they are giving me is NOT valid.

I spoke with the apartment management and they told me there is no such a reason in apartment policy that gives right to towing company that they can tow a car because it is using more than one parking space. This towing company is creating artificial reasons to make money out of innocent people. They have NO right to tow my car with a valid non-expired parking sticker from the parking lot of the residence by creating the non-valid reason.

Who is going to stop this people creating their own rules, and regulations? Are not all federal and state laws valid for these towing companies?
