We are writing in regards to your letter dated 04/11/about a complaint filed
against our companyI would like to start by saying we did respond to the letter sent by the complainantWe sent it Certified mail, signed receipt requestedThe letter was never picked up at the Post Office after two attempts to deliverWe have the returned letter here in our files along with the original envelope
We were hired by the complainant’s contractor to install new garage doors at her houseThe pricing the contractor received was for installation into a clean opening‘ To save the complainant money the contractor was taking the existing doors down and away
The day of installation our installer started to assemble the new garage doors as the contractor was taking the existing doors downAt that time he asked our installer if he had seen the dent, he said he hadn‘tThe complainant was then told about the dentShe then called us and asked us to remove her contractor from the jobWe conveyed the message to her contractor when he came backAt no time prior to that did we know she was having a problem with her contractor
We did not cause the dent, the contractor did not cause the dent while we were thereWe did the sub contract work for the contractor not the other way around

I am rejecting this response because: whatever Bauer Doors and Eagle Ridge Carpentry arrangement were, I was NOT informed I had no idea they would send a carpenter to install garage door ordered from Bauer Doors. Like my original complaint stated "the capping around the garage doors were just installed months prior to the garage doors and there were NO damage. When the garage doors were removed either by Bauer Doors son or THEIR sub contractor THEY CAUSED THE DAMAGE

We are writing in response to your letter dated April 30, 2014
1. We sent an employee/installer of our company to install new garage doors at the complainants house. We did not send a carpenter as she states.
2. We did not damage the capping around the garage door. The complainants states that in her original letter. 
3. Eagle ridge Carpentry is not our sub-contractor. We were hired by Eagle Ridge Carpentry.
4. We cannot be held responsible for something that had nothing to do with us.
We see no reason to compensate the complainant for something we had nothing to do with

Review: Bauer Garage Door came to my home to install 2 new garage doors on my home. Owners son was to remove my old door and install the 2 new doors. They also sent Eagle Ridge Carpentry to help with the doors and were told previously that he was not to enter the property due to previous damage issues by Eagle Ridge Carpentry. Bauer Door sent Eagle ridge who caused property damage to new copping installed in October 2013. [redacted] called Eagle Ridge and advised him to leave the premiss. In January 2014 when [redacted] returned to correct installation errors, he was shown to property damage cause by his sub-contractor. He advised he would get back to me. On 2/1/14 I sent a registered letter advising Bauer Doors the cost to repair the damage at $247 giving him 30 days to respond. It is now over 60 days and there has been no response.Desired Settlement: Cost to repair damage.
