Ms [redacted], it sounds like she's not questioning our right to lien sale her vehicle that was towed and impounded by the local...

law enforcement agency. What she is questioning, is a credit for the proceeds we might of received from the sale of her vehicle, towards the lien amount owed. Well, there was no monies received from the sale of her vehicle, because no one showed up or wanted to buy it at the sale date. This was a very low valued vehicle, per Fresno's Police Departments vehicle valuation report made at the time of the vehicle being towed. When there is no buyer, the tow company becomes the owner by default of the vehicle, but the last owner per DMV records, is still responsible for the total lien amount due..That is the amount turned in for collections. As for the vehicle when this happens, we junk the vehicle though DMV, and have it dispose of by any legal means possible. Bottom line, there is no adjustment to the lien amount, because no money was received, For the record, the vehicle towed was a 1998 mercury sable, license number, [redacted] CA, VIN# 1[redacted]350UXVGXXXXXX, Towed for Fresno Police Department, on 10/2/2011. The lien amount at the end of sale was only $2015.00. This was the amount given to the FINEX Group for collection. Any amount over this amount, are for fees and interest added by them for the collection process. It is my understanding, nothing was ever paid towards this lien debt, which increases the size of the debt due daily, because of interest on the debt.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/05/05) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Requesting itemized statement, receipts and invoices stating that fact.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 36, 2015/06/04) */
I personally sent the requested information to Ms [redacted] and the Revdex.com on June X XXXX. We also sent to the Revdex.com copies of the certified mail receipt and tracking number for the mailing from the US Postal service. The mail was sent to the exact address as listed on the Revdex.com complaint form for Ms. [redacted], as requested. We are awaiting the return receipt from the US Postal Service, as proof the mailman was able to delivered the mail to Ms. [redacted]. I welcome the Revdex.com to also review the documents sent to them, and to advise. Ms. [redacted], I welcome you to contact Transunion also. Maybe that might be the answer to solving your complaint. Like I have said in the past, We did not report anything to any of the credit rating agencies as you state, The Finex Group did. Our collection accounts have been assigned over to them for collection. They are the company that decides on how best and what's necessary to collect the monies due, not us. Your complaints about current itemized statements should be directed towards them, not us. They are also in possesion of all the supporting documents too.
Final Consumer Response /* (2000, 40, 2015/06/09) */
As of today the debt was removed from my credit. I consider this case closed. Thanks you everything.....
