Cash for junk car
I contacted bauls towing to purchase my Saturn. They agreed to a payment of 450.00. They arrived to pickup car and loaded the vehicle onto their truck. The gentleman told me to get into truck to sign paperwork. He then sent a picture of car to “his boss”. He proceeds to tell me that his boss said it’s no good and wants to give me 300.00. I said I will take 375. So he says his boss agrees to that amount. He asks me if I have any change and I told him that I didn’t so he hands me 400.00 and says have a blessed day. The paperwork said 455.00 on it as well but I got 400.00 so I was fine with that. I went to get into my car and the driver starts beeping his horn. I went back to see what the problem was and he said “his boss” said no good and wanted me to give him 150.00 back. I was like wtf is goin on here? I had already taken less than what they told me to begin with and now he’s trying to get me to return money after he paid me and I signed the paperwork. I got into my car and left. If you are thinking about using this company to purchase a junk car, make sure you get something figured out before they load the vehicle. I am still dumbfounded trying to figure out what kind of crap they are trying to pull.

Review: On Thursday January 3rd, 2014 I got into a single-car accident during a heavy snow storm about 8:20 p.m. After calling the police, I called my insurance company and they sent Bauls Towing & Services to pick up my car. The guy who towed my car called me on Friday around 2 p.m. to let me know he was about to drop my car off at Porter. They were supposed to drop my car off at Porter Autobody the next day (Friday) but failed to do so because the towing yard "closed early." By Monday (January 6th) my car was still not at Porter. The manager of the towing company said multiple times that day that my car would be there by the end of the day Monday. On Tuesday, Porter alerted me and said my car still did not arrive. I once again called Bauls Towing & Services and the female manager, who would not give me her name, once again said my car would be there by the end of the day and to call her back in an hour. An hour and a half later I called the lady again and she said she was still at her doctor's appointment and hung up on me. I called the guy who towed my car again and he said there was a miscommunication between him and his manager and that my car would be at the bodyshop by the end of the day. Once contacting my insurance, they reported that Bauls Towing & Services did not transfer my car from their lot to Porter Autobody due to "bad weather" on Monday (Janurary 6th). The weather in Wilmington, DE that day was over 50 degrees and only rained in the early hours of the morning. My insurance company (State Farm) and myself tried to get in contact with Bauls Towing & Services in the afternooon hours Tuesday, however, they continue to ignore and not return phone calls. State Farm announced that Bauls Towing will not tell them how much my towing fees are, tow my car to Porter in order for it to get fixed, or allow Porter to pick my car up from their lot even with my official written consent and contract agreement through State Farm. My car has now been at Bauls Towing & Services for 6 days and the company is refusing to hand over my car to State Farm or Porter in order to bill State Farm higher costs for keeping my car there.Desired Settlement: I want my car to be delivered to Porter in Newark today and to contact State Farm immediately.

My car had a suspension issue which made it un-driveable so I called my insurance company and they chose Baul's towing. Baul's towing arrived before the estimated time and called me when they were close to my location. The truck operator was friendly and was very careful with my car since one of the wheels was not movable. He loaded and unloaded my car without causing any further damage despite the wheel being the way it was. I was very happy with the service I received.

Review: On July 22, 2013, my car broke down and needed to be towed, and I called AARP,with the service I had with them was only 5 miles and I needed to go 69 miles, we'll I payed the difference, the woman who worked for AARP couldn;t find anyone at firse, but once she did they were finally sent out, so once the guy(Eric White) got there, he put my car on the flat bed and I left with the person who came and got me and told Eric we would meet him were I wanted the sent, so he picked the car up a 2:58pm and I never got the car until 6:40pm that evening, I called dispatch like 4 or 5 times to ask were my car was, the whole time they told me that it was on its way, never telling were it was, finally arrived at 6:40pm that evening, I had someone waiting to fix my car and they had to wait for this person. I was not happy at all with this company services, very unprofessional.Desired Settlement: To have my refund back, or at least half of it back that's all.

Ford roadside assistance contracted Baul's to pick up my car and tow it to the dealer. I don't know whose fault it was, but Baul's was missing some of the information it needed to pick up my car. Rather than contact me or Ford to get the information they were missing, Baul's just ignored it and never picked up my car.

Review: Owner took my car to his junkyard after I told him not to. Then over charged me 780$ for services. Owner never took any of my information down just took my car and locked it up and demanded 780$. Very unprofessional and a scamDesired Settlement: My property back

Review: I junked a car with this company back in march of this year. A month ago I received a EZ-pass violation ticket for a car using the olate that got junked with my car. I called up the company to inform them of the issue and get a copy of my receipt. When going to pick up the receipt I was told that this is a common issue with them that they have problems all the time with the community behind them coming over and stealing plates from the cars that are not securely locked up. I have recently received another ticket but now the plate is on a different car and it is for a parking violation. I called the police and everyone else and they all told me I am unable to do anything because it is no longer my property. On 8/21/14 I called bauls towing and explained the current situation and asked for the owner or manager and was told I was speaking to the owner and he would not give me his name. I wastold by him that I needed to report the tag stolen and that he couldn't do anything. After telling him twice that he had to report the tag stolen because the car is no longer in my possession he told me that he would but needed to get to the shop first (I called the company number) and that would take 15 minutes. I called at 11:10am and never heard anything back. I tried calling back several times and never heard anything. I now have to miss a day of work and drive an hour to go to a court hearing about a ticket for a tag to a car that I don't even possess anymore. This company knows this is a problem but has clearly done nothing to stop these issued from happening.Desired Settlement: Ideally I want this company to report the tag stolen first of all. When I contacted them for the first ticket they should have contacted the police and informed them. I would like compensation for me now having to miss a day of work and drive an hour out of state to go to court for something that this business could have prevented by actually putting preventative measures in to a problem they have clearly identified. This negligence has caused a disrupt in my life with my license being threaten and a warrant possibly being sworn out for me. I do want them to start taking tags off the cars they receive or inform the sellers that they should take the tags off the car before they give it to them. I want all of these conditions met and an notice of them being completed because if nothing again is done to rectify this matter I will take further and legal action.
