Dear The Revdex.com:I am reaching out in response to the letter we received regarding the customer experience of [redacted] (Revdex.com complaint ID: [redacted]). We transferred her current tires off of the wheels that the vehicle came in on, and we put those tires on aftermarket wheels that the...

customer supplied. Once that was complete and we had installed the wheels on the vehicle we lowered the lift to find that the customer supplied wheels did not clear the fenders. We explained to her the issues of her wheels not fitting and told her that to make these specific wheels fit she would need the fenders rolled, Note that the customer has a aftermarket lowering suspension kit on the vehicle causing it to have a softer, bouncier ride which could cause the fenders to rub on the wheels. The customer agreed and we provided her with a free rental vehicle for the day and rolled her fenders with a certified tool.The customer came in and picked the vehicle up, got in her vehicle and left. At this time she could have gone out and looked at the work done and come back in if she had this current concern-she did not do this. When she picked up we provided her with an invoice that clearly stated that the wheels do not fit and the vehicle is lowered therefore we will not warranty the paint, fenders, wheels, tires, etc. She drove away and came back more than 24 hours later with her brother. When her and her brother came in they were very confrontational- claiming “it looked like we used a baseball bat on her car. Nobody in our shop blamed her for anything. We tried to explain to her, again, that because the car is lowered on a soft aftermarket lowering kit (that we did not install), and the wheels are the wrong size when she drove it she could have possibly hit a bump to cause damage or the wrong size wheels could have been rubbing on the fenders heating them and chipping paint, etc. We will admit that we were not the most proud of the car when it left but when she returned it the next day it was far, far worse than when it left here. Which, again, we did not accuse her of that being her fault. It simply is just the fact the car is lowered on a soft suspension and the wrong size wheels.After this was all said and done we told her to bring it back on the following Tuesday and we would take it to the body shop and have a further look at it. She did not bring the vehicle back or even call. We received a call from her insurance for our information. We then called our insurance and set up a claim. Therefore, we currently have a insurance claim in the works with her and cannot will not provide repairs through the Revdex.com.
