They made a reservation during Cruisin’ the Coast, arriving 10/departing 10/10. At the time they made the reservation they were informed that it would be a guaranteed reservation and if they cancelled they would be responsible for payment of the full amount of the
reservationThey agreed to those terms and gave their credit card information to confirm the reservation. The cancellation policy was again documented on the email confirmation. They called to cancel their reservation the day they were to arrive. I took the call and said I would call them back to let them know what the cancellation charge would be. I reviewed their information and then called them back to say that there would be a day cancellation fee, reduced from the day that had been agreed upon by both parties in advance. We do have an exception to our cancellation policy when there is a tropical storm in the Gulf of MexicoAt the time they cancelled their reservation, there was no tropical system in the Gulf of Mexico.100% of our other customers, many from further away than Pensacola, honored their reservations and enjoyed beautiful weather100% of those customers that opted to leave Saturday or Sunday, once the storm entered the Gulf of Mexico, received a refund for those daysIn response to their comment about the Beach Boys, that concert was not cancelled until Saturday, October Saturday is when an informed decision was made regarding planned events. At no time during our telephone conversations or emails, did they question or express unhappiness about the cancellation chargeThen I get contacted by the Revdex.com that they filed a complaintI feel we treated them correctly given the circumstances and disappointed that they feel they were treated unfairlyWe take the satisfaction of our customers seriously.
