Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Wanted to reach out to provide you an update on this complaint as of today since I was not clear as to why the case was closed. Regardless I did respond to Mr w[redacted] on Monday regarding his comments via email directly to him indicating that I would prefer to accepting a check versus bringing my car back to their dealership since I no longer trusted them and they were very far however I also indicated that a check for $500 would not be enough since it would cost me almost 2k to address these issues which they should have taken care off as they stated prior to selling me vehicle. I also indicated that I would be willing to accept a check for $1k to resolve the matter, however until today I have not heard a response back from dealership. If you would like I can send you all communication via email regarding this matter.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.
Sincerely,

Tell us why here... Good morning [redacted], Please understand that you bought a used cars from us. It meets all of the required safety standards of NY and NJ as it passed both State inspections. I am under no obligations to take care of many of the items that you have brought to our attention...

as you purchased a used car.  That being said, I am interested in helping you because you and your wife are unhappy with a few things with the RX that you purchased from us.  Please understand that this would  require you bringing the RX back to our store where I will give you a $1000 Service Credit to take care of anything you feel should be attended to. If you do not want to come back to the store I will cut you a check for $500 to offset any inconvenience you have had with our store.  I apologize that things are not exactly as you would have liked and do hope this offer resolves that. Please let me know your decision. Thanks.  Eugene W[redacted]General ManagerBay Ridge Lexus[redacted]

Review: I provided my vehicle to Bay Ridge Lexus, for repair work need to be done for my vehicle was damaged in a rear end accident that occurred October **,2015. I stated that since I wasn't the driver at fault I'll give the at fault driver the opportunity to pay out of pocket for I didn't want his insurance provider to increase his premium. I issued the other party the estimate and he stated he'll let his insurance provider [redacted] of New Jersey handle the matter.

As I went to drop my vehicle (November **, 2015) I talked to the Sale Representative Rochelle, that provided me the initial estimate and I made it clear to her that the other party is going to go through his insurance provider. She agreed and stated that I can pick up my vehicle in a week, and that Insurance company has to reimburse me for the cost, which I thought was weird because when contacting the service number it clearly states they handle Insurance claims but I left the vehicle in her possession. Shortly then I contacted [redacted], with the information of where my vehicle is being repaired, they confirmed my claim and provided me with a claim number. I also stated that I will need a loaner vehicle because I have to be able to get to home and work. They said fine and provided me to [redacted] of Bay Ridge.

I went over to [redacted] for its not to far from Bay Ridge Lexus, I was able to get a vehicle and provided them my information from Allstate and I went on to work.

As time progresses Allstate is continually contacting for they can't communicate with the body shop, and that they need an itemized list of the estimate. I contact Lexus to do so and oddly Allstate did not receive it, so I then send over the initial estimate that they (Lexus) had provided to me in hopes that will clarify the issue but to my surprise this was the beginning.

I constantly had to be the person of communication between the two companies. I ended up paying out of pocket when I had to pick up my vehicle (November **, 2015) and had to wait til recently (December *, 2015) to be reimbursed. What makes matter worst is that [redacted] was calling me stating that Allstate will ONLY cover 3 of 7 Days (for the itemize document I sent them shoes 12 hrs of labor) I had the loaner vehicle for the time taken does not justify the duration Lexus had taken to repair the vehicle. So now that Lexus has gotten their money, and Allstate saying they cannot do anything else I was left to pay a bill of $162 for the loaner vehicle which I should not have to pay for.Desired Settlement: From all that has taken place I feel as if I should be compensated, and reimbursed for the loaner vehicle, for unbeknownst to me be the person of communication in this whole ordeal when as the consumer/customer should not have to do the workmanship of their establishment. My time was wasted and I'm stressed out for I had to wait so long for something I did not do! I was the victim of this matter and I still was thrown under the bus, for I was charged for something I had no complete control over.

Review: On 6/** I leased a Nissan Pathfinder 2013 from this dealership. I have two separate issues of suspected fraud: 1) I was sold a "gold package" for additional $39.99 a month that was supposed to include "Unlimited Damage Waiver" insurance policy for my vehicle. I was told that I will receive all the paperwork (contract and terms & conditions) about it at a later point. It has been 16 days and I have not received any paperwork on it. When I tried to contact the dealership, I was told that the finance manager who signed my contract "does not talk to clients directly". I have sent them a certified first class letter addressed to GSM requesting this contract (USPS tracking# [redacted]) , but received no response. 2) On 6/** the dealership charged my credit card for the second time for $599.99 (in addition to the agreed first payment of $2600.00). This amount was supposed to include vehicle registration fees plus the LAST MONTH's payment to the financial institution involved with the lease (HANN Financial). Upon verification with HANN I was told that they "never charged last month's payment from anyone" and that my account doesn't have any security deposits held in my name. I consider the $369.99 simply stolen from me by the dealer.Desired Settlement: I demand that the dealership: 1) either delivers full set of documents for the "Unlimited Damage Waiver" insurance policy or issues a refund of $39.99 * 39 months = $1559.61 2) refunds $369.99 that they fraudulently charged my credit card for

Review: I am writing in reference to Lexus's failure to honor service to a mechanical failure to my vehicle. The parts in question are the rear calipers which are original Lexus calipers I've reached out to several representatives whom have made this a nightmare for me..they said they would fix it at the dealer then went to say they needed to charge me for the repairs. When I filed a corporate complaint it became as if the service adviser had a personal problem with me I also had a scheduled a loaner vehicle in ample time to be able to be mobile as the repairs were being made which is a term under the agreement but had been inconvenienced by not being afforded one and having been directed to enterprise auto rentals. I am fed up with the quality of service and negative treatment I've had to endure from Lexus.. I've already had to deal with wether the vehicle in question had been in an auto accident prior to my purchasing the vehicle which again Lexus gave me a hard time about finding the car facts..I am tired of being bulliedDesired Settlement: I am asking that Lexus home it's warranty agreement and replace both rear calipers and also that they present me with a history of the vehicle facts as I have reasonable suspicion to believe this vehicle was involved in an accident prior to my purchase. Thank you for looking into this matter

Review: The car I purchased had a recall that was not repaired before they sold it to me. I asked before I purchased the vehicle was all recalls taken care of and they told me yes. Also the sales price I saw on the Internet was different when I arrived at the dealer. I was also told the car was a certified pre owned vehicle and it is not. And every time I called I could not speak to anyone and they did not return my calls or emailsDesired Settlement: Reimbursement for time and inconvenience to have part replaced when they should've fixed the problem before they sold me the car. Reimbursement for the $1000 more they charged me over the advertised sales price. And a bad report on their record for not returning my calls.

Sincerely,

Review: On august [redacted], 2013 I went down to bay ridge toyota to trade in my car and get a new car. I was asked to put a deposit so I put $3,000 deposit on my credit card. No contracts were signed and I was supposed to come up with another 3,000 to complete the needed money to complete the deal. On the [redacted] I let them know that the 3,000 left was out of my reach so they were gonna refund me my original 3,000 and everytime I call them they say they have processed the refund but its been almost 30 days and my bank which is their same bank says that a refund hasn't been issued.

Review: My brake wire get bite by squirrel. and the check engine light on. And I took my 2006 4runner to toyota at brooklyn. They told me part and labor total $3800. I said too expensive. and then they said they can fix it for $2800. I asked them how. they said they order half of the part to fix it.The part was cost around $1700. I think half of it maybe coat 700 or 800 plus labor. and I asked them can they just connect the wire. they told me no. They said they have to order the half of part from toyota factory. They don't have the part in store. And I agree them to fix my car. But they didn't show me the detail about how much for the part and how much for the labor. After few days they told me the can was fix tell me to come pick up my 4runner. They told me to pay first. I asked them can I check first and then pay. They said NO, they said everything is good to go. told me just pay it. So I paid it. And told me go outside pick up my car. I went out take my car and start it. And I check the car to see is everything ok. Then the ENGINE LIGHT coming back on. I opened my car hood to check how they fix my car brake wire. And I feel confuse. They told me they gonna put a new part to fix my wire, but they just connect it with the tape instead. And I go back in to talk to them. Why don't I see any new part in my car and why my ENGINE LIGHT is ON. I asked them to show me the part bill. They said they don't have it. They said the bill I paid only for the labor work. I asked them $2600 for labor just connect the wire with the tape. They said YES. I don't think this is right. Because what they told me and how they fix it is BIG DIFFERENT WAY. And the engine light they said they will check for me. I asked them why my car haven't fix and you ask me to pay. They couldn't answer my question. I asked they to refund my money back , they said NO. They said Because their manager not here. They told me leave the car for them to check the engine light. Then I leave. They took a week to check my car. And told me something wrong with your speed wire. I think they just make up some reason. And took another week to fix it. Finally they said my car can pick up. This time I turn on my car , the light didn't come back on. I think maybe my speed wire really have a problem. Then I leave the toyota with my 4runner. And I drive my car back to work at NEW JERSEY. After I drive half of way from my work the ENGINE LIGHT came back on. I called them ask why my ENGINE LIGHT come back on, they said they don't know why. They told me bring the car back to toyota for them to check. I been waiting for their call a week. and they didn't call me ,so I call them to find out what happen to my car. I called and ask them what a status for my car, they said I can pick up my car ,BUT they told me my engine one of the sensor have a problem, I need a new part.cost another $200. I asked them last time you said the speed wire and this time you said my engine sensor what about next time? I said it been a month and you toyota can't fix my car and more more problem coming for my car. I don't know what to do. I already pay my bill and my car they still can't fix it. and fix the way different that they told me. I really need my car back to me. Toyota bring alot of pain and inconvenient for me.Please help me!!Desired Settlement: refund the over pay money or fix my car right with no more cost money.

Review: On March 2012, I purchased a 2008 Nissan Altima from Bay Ridge Nissan with 17,000 miles. The car has been listed for the price of $ 12,990, with a finance price of $9,995 after a $ 3,000 down payment. Now I went to Bay ridge with $ 5,000 dollars down payment, trying to lower my monthly bill, after the paper work the finance manager asked me to add another $ 500 which made it a total of $ 5,500. I paid that day. Now when I got home, I realized that my monthly bill was like $ 298 a month, I picked up a calculator to try to figure out what went wrong. I then realized that the financial manager jacked up the price of the vehicle on me from 12,990 to 18,000. I automatically faxed the promo flyer which I downloaded from the bay ridge Nissan web site, to [redacted] at Bay Ridge Nissan; He was the sales person who assisted me through the all deal. I did not hear from him after 3 days, I decided to go to the dealer with all of the paper works. But when I arrived there, [redacted] told me that the finance manager was of that day. I kept going there back and forth, they keep telling me the same thing, finance manager is not there come the next day or next week. Until now I am waiting to hear from them, I am going from Nissan Consumer affairs to you as I am looking for an answer.Secondly, he also falsified the paperwork as I authorized Nissan to redraw monthly payment from my checking account. They did it for 8 months and suddenly after the January payment, they chose to stop with me being informed which resulted in my car being towed. Even then, I was not informed about them reclaim my vehicle. I had to go through a lot of calls from 911 to sheriff department. After 9 days, I called Nissan to report that the car was stolen, it was then I was told that the vehicle was reclaimed by Nissan. By the time I found out, the vehicle was already taken to the auction where the car was completely vandalized. Radio is no longer in working; all my important items that were left in the vehicleDesired Settlement: I am only asking for all the items that were stolen from my vehicle, and I need to get my money back for Bay Ridge financial manager purposely falsified the paper works for financial gains. I have all the papers to show proof of that Bay Ridge Nissan financial manager mishandled the paper works for his own interest.

Review: on may * 2014 I was purchasing a used 2008 lexus isF with approximately 89,xxx miles upon purchasing the vehicle I was told by my sales man ([redacted]) that the vehicle would get a 161 point vehicle inspection to see if anything was wrong with the vehicle and a regular state inspection a full service detail and a second key to the vehicle. which never happened a few weeks later [redacted] had called me to ask how I liked the vehicle I said I'm a little happy with it except the vehicle has a few issues with it that is upsetting me so he told me to come by let the service department get it checked out. as soon as I came in to drop the vehicle off I was told that the vehicle has 4 bad tires all four rims were bent and also they cannot do a state inspection on the vehicle because it already has a sticker from january. after that I asked if I can leave the vehicle and go home with a service loaner being that I have already scheduled for one. and my service advisor said no because we have no loaners available for a few days and wen we do we will call u. and till now I have received any calls but wen I call back to address my issues with u they put me on hold and then get back to me saying we will call u back but never do. after that I went to lexus of queens got my vehicles checked out through them and apparently was told that the vehicle need a water pump belt radiator, all four brakes and rotors tires and rim repair the vehicle also had a navigation issue. at lexus of queens I had the water pup belt and navigation fixed thru my extended warranty but the remainder cannot be done because it isn't covered under the warranty.Desired Settlement: I would either like a full refund , or would like for them to give me what was promised which was a second key , full detail , state inspection, 161 point inspection and also the repairs that needed to be done to the car to make the vehicle more safe and reliable for myself and my family

At this time, I have not been contacted by Bay Ridge Lexus regarding complaint ID [redacted].

Sincerely,

Review: On March *, 2013, my husband, [redacted], brought our 2008 Corolla to BayRidge Toyota (the dealer we bought the car from) for repair as the engine light on the dashboard appeared. The repair representative checked the car and advised that there is a leak in the Gasket, which was replaced. A couple of weeks later, my husband felt that the car was shaking when he would press on the brakes, which did not happen before. Therefore, my husband made an appointment at BayRidge Toyota on April **, 2013 to have the repair department inspect the car. At that time, the repair representative checked the car and he cleaned and "adjusted" the engine. After the car was brought from repair, the technician told my husband that now he should feel the car ride stronger, with more power. The car was indeed very strong now, but after a week later, my husband started to notice that the car was drinking a lot of fuel. To give you an example, our Corolla is a four cylinder car. Average Miles Per Gallon (City Mileage) was at 26. After the car was seen in April, the car has been averaging at 15 City Mileage. We called BayRidge Toyota about this issue and brought the car back in on June **, 2013. My husband spoke to the Manager, [redacted], about this issue. Specifically, he told him that whatever the technician repaired the last time (in April) is now causing the car to drink a lot of gas with very limited mileage. My husband advised [redacted] that it appears that it could be the Gasket, given all the research he did in search of finding the root cause of this problem. He asked [redacted] why the car is drinking so much gas now, because we never had this problem prior to the April service date. [redacted] responded that he can check it, but he would need to charge us $198 to diagnose the problem. My husband told him that we have a Platinum Warranty (an extended warranty we purchased when we bought the car in 2010) that would cover this. Also, he explained to [redacted] that this problem never existed prior to April service repair, and, therefore, we should not be liable to pay for something that was never repaired correctly. However, [redacted] did not agree and told him that we would have to pay for the diagnostic. [redacted] did mention that we could take the car to another Toyota dealer, but my husband explained that no dealer would repair something another dealer did not correctly repair. Furthermore, why should another dealer take responsibility for BayRide Toyota's actions? Makes no sense.Desired Settlement: I would like BayRidge Toyota to pay for the diagnostic to figure out why the car is drinking so much mileage, due to their actions on April **, 2013. As I stated, the car was previously making 26 City MPG, while now it is at 15 City MPG.

Review: January I spoke with a sales associate (Ahmed M[redacted]) at Bay Ridge Lexus in Brooklyn about leasing an RC 300. We negotiated a deal through email and text messages after meeting at the dealership. The price we agreed upon was 483/month including tax with 1570 due at signing. Based on a written offer through email, I submitted the credit application and payed the deposit for an incoming vehicle. After weeks went by, the car arrived. I went to the dealership to finish the paperwork and pick up the car. The sales associate I spoke with told me he had to leave for an emergency and a coworker would finish the deal. When I went to go over the deal, the new sales associate brought me a paper showing an increased monthly payment of $506 a month from the 483 as well as an increase in the money due at signing to over $1600. When I told them that this wasn't what was agreed upon, the sales manager "Aladin" got involved. He was incredibly rude and he attempted to negotiate with me for a payment of 498 a month, which I refused. I told him I would talk to them tomorrow when the associate I originally made this deal with returns. The next day, I spoke with the associate (Ahmed) over the phone who said he's not sure why he gave me those numbers but now the deal has changed. I went into the dealership to speak with the general manager Eugene Woods and explained the situation to him. He stated that although me and the salesman Ahmed agreed on a certain price, the sales manager Aladdin never signed off on the agreement and would not be honoring that price. At this point he offered me a Payment of $495 a month with 1570 due at signing. Again, I refused and left the dealership.

This type of behavior is unacceptable at a dealership these days. After taking a deposit and running my credit then weeks later when the car arrives to try to extort an extra few hundred dollars out of a customer is abhorrent. The general manager Eugene Woods even said if I don't pay the higher price that he could easily sell the vehicle to someone else for more money.

Now, based on a written offer that the company refuses to honor, a deposit was taken and a credit inquiry in now on my credit report.Desired Settlement: Finish the sale at the original agreed upon price.

Review: Under a week of purchasing a car for $7500 plus an exchange of a car (Nissan Murano) for a 2011 BMW the car's handling BMW stopped working properly. I was driving and almost crashed into a pole with the poor handling. I took the car back on the Friday they claimed to have fix it but the problem still existed. The sales manager [redacted] told me to go to BMW to fix it that he was afraid it would destroy the warranty. I told him its not covered he still insisted. Then on hearing there is a payment from BMW asked me to bring my vehicle back to NIsaan try to fix it again. Yesterday he told me to come today August [redacted] to have the car fixed then today he says "the guy only comes on Saturdays" then he says "not that the guy only comes on Saturdays but he can only help you on Saturday cause he's busy". Please help these people may be selling poor products to customers.Desired Settlement: Fix the car.

Review: July **, 2015 my wife Rachel and I purchased a 2012 Lexus RX 350, VIN# [redacted] online from Bay Ridge Lexus of Brooklyn , NY, zip code [redacted].

The vehicle was advertised as Carfax clean with no accidents, a lease return vehicle. It was described to us as beautiful, clean, with no defects described by the sales representatives.

Almost immediately after it was shipped to us in Roanoke, TX, we noticed that the Lexus did not look right on the outside, and there were areas of painted surfaces in the front that did not look shiny and even. By the way, this is our third Lexus RX, so we know how they look. On the inside there were scratches in the back seat area and cargo area that were not shown on the online photos when it was advertised.

The cargo area floor mat was badly worn and had to be discarded, and the cargo area had no adjustable cargo cover, which was standard with the Lexus RX 350.

When we took the Lexus to a nationally reputable collision and repair center in nearby Keller, TX, called Caliber Collision and Repair, they confirmed our concerns about the paint and the overall condition of the vehicle, that the Lexus had previously been in at least one, and possibly two prior collisions, with damage to both front and rear ends. They said the Lexus had been minimally and unsatisfactorily repaired, and in the case of the rear bumper, it had merely been cemented back on, and shoddily repainted, and paint overspray was readily visible in several places.

There was a tear on the left rear door trim panel, the repair facility said most likely caused by a dog/animal bite, and the part# [redacted] to replace it would cost $848.17. We chose not to replace this part at his time. Also, the right quarter trim with Mark L[redacted] had a big, long scratch, also probably animal, and the part # [redacted] cost is $320.15. We also chose not to replace this at this time.

But we did have the collision repair center do the following repairs:

Electrical- To replace Lt park sensor retainer front white pearl.

Front Door- Replace Lt R&I trim panel.

Rear Body and Floor- Replace Finish plate center ivory; replace Rt. Finish plate side ivory; replace Lt Finish plate side ivory.

Lift Gate- Replace Weatherstrip.

Rear Bumper- O/H rear bumper; replace bumper cover with park sensors; add for 3 stage, add for park sensor.

Replace Lt side support, replace side retainer, replace step pad, clean prior overspray off trim, replace door edge guards, Flex additive.

The total for parts, labor, and supplies was $2,173.35. This we paid for.

The $1,168.32 expenses for the needed work due to apparent prior animal damage, brings the total cost to $3,341.67.

My wife and I hold Bay Ridge Lexus responsible for the undisclosed prior damage to the Lexus, and the $3,3147.67 cost we have incurred, and want to be reimbursed by Bay Ridge Lexus for $3,341.67.

We have contacted Bay Ridge Lexus Sales Manager Barry S[redacted], by e- mail, to express our concerns and to list the repairs done and still needed. He has not responded.

So I am writing to you at the Revdex.com to inform you of our experience, and ask your assistance in resolving this complaint.

Respectfully,

[redacted] and [redacted]Desired Settlement: We want apology and refund for the repairs we had to have done, and also for those two repairs still needed to be done.
