AWFUL experience dealing with Abalon Construction, would NEVER recommend to anyone looking for a professional company to deal withI initially contacted the company via email on August 9, 2018, my husband and I were looking for a contractor to assess and repair our basement foundation (out of Edmonton area)Initially the company was quick to respond but that quickly endedThey were supposed to do a site visit on October 24, (2+ months after initial request!!!) but no one showed up or phoned me to let me know there was a change of plansI have since emailed the company twice, my first email received no responseToday I finally got a response to my second email; where I asked why I had not heard from anyone regarding the site first that was supposed to take place October The administration member that responded to my email said “As per the email below we had no response from youThe day we were heading in that direction the estimator needed the best number to reach you at so he could advise you on the approximate time he would be in AthabascaWe do our appointments during the day and especially out of town we would need to meet you prior to 5:or soHe did say he try the number you had originally given but no answerUnfortunately, we have no other calls heading in that direction at this timeYou are still on our list and if we have other calls heading that way we can try again.”
I did in fact respond to their email asking them to keep me updated with regard to the site visit on October The company does have my current cell phone number which did not have any missed calls, nor voicemails from October *** *** *** ** *** *** *** the fact that they have left us high and dry (when winter is coming!) is absurdWe waited over two months for them to come assess our foundation and now they will not send anyone our way at this time
The patch that was done for us in May withstood the downpour that hit the Capilano area in Edmonton on Saturday, Aug5, We were deluged with rain and hail - so much rain that the soil and clay in the hole settled – inches But the patch held upIf we hadn’t had the crack fixed, the basement would have had a lot of water in itSo, thank you very much for the excellent work
