I initially contacted Baymont of Wahpeton, ND back in October of 2019 to block off a set of rooms for my wedding in May of 2020. I spoke with front desk staff and I was told a manager would get back to me soon with the room rates as they would have to approved them. Fast forward to three months later (January 2020), and I still had not heard anything. I call back, and spoke with a staff member named Mariah, who asked me to repeat my initial request so she could resubmit it to her manager, as she believed her manager didn't receive it back in October. It was a Friday, and she said she'd make sure someone got back to me by Monday. Monday came and went, and even another week went by and no word. I contacted them and spoke with Mariah again, who apologized and said she hand delivered the request to her manager, Allison, and that Allison would be coming into work later on that day to review the request and would get back to me. That was January 24, 2020 and I still have not heard from anyone. I've expressed my frustration and explained that all I'm calling for is my room rates so that I can relay that information to family members travelling out of town, but have not been informed of that yet.
Regarding the complaint from ***, I would have talked with her regarding her block of rooms that she requested since I blocked off a room just for the bride and groom. Rate is $114.99 plus tax per night.
I am rejecting this response because: After contacting the Baymont Inn once again, I finally received the room rates. I of course got them after I threatened to contact their corporate office in which they miraculously appeared before staff but weren't there a few moments before. Their reasoning for not confirming the room rates with me the four other times I called in was because they had the wrong email address for me. I had a hard time believing that because I'd confirmed on two different phone calls my email address and provided my cell phone number each time I called in. The manager's response to this complaint in general doesn't make sense to me, but I'm glad I finally got the rates. Overall I find the customer service of the manager at this location to be unsatisfactory, and if we weren't so limited for hotel stay options in the Wahpeton, ND area, I wouldn't have bothered to continue to contact them. At this time I no longer require follow up as I got the rates myself.
