I went here to purchase a used vehicle and specifically asked that they attempt to finance through my current vehicle loan company (Ally). I submitted my online application and also specifically asked again that they inquire through Ally. After 3 days of pushing me along that they were submitting the inquiry with Ally and it was pending, my sales person (who was great!) informed me that they had an approval and I told him I would be down to get the vehicle. Once arriving and starting the process, I was informed that they had another approval right as I was about to sign the paperwork. I asked about Ally and I was told that they wont take roll over debt from my other vehicle. I today pulled my credit report and there are no inquires from Ally at all. They didn't even submit my inquiry at all to Ally. I would never recommend financing a vehicle through this company... Go somewhere else to buy your vehicle.

In response to the document received on February 27th 2015, we are providing the following response.During the sale of the 2005 [redacted] there was a miscommunication between the two showrooms at our facility. The [redacted] showroom was attempting to consummate a deal with Ms. [redacted]....

In the time between Ms. [redacted] coming in and getting a Buyers Order to take to her [redacted], a deal was being worked in our [redacted] showroom. They are two separate physical locations. The deal in [redacted] was consummated the next morning. There was a miscommunication between the two showrooms and nothing more. We sincerely regret that this occurred and have been actively looking for a used vehicle that may fit Ms. [redacted]'s needs. Because of the year, price and miles that were unique to the [redacted], this may take awhile to complete.
We strive every day to be a partner to our community, and we have excellent reviews on the web. This, unfortunately is an isolated situation that occurred.

Review: my mom and dad had my car towed to this dealership. I have a extended warranty from [redacted]'s [redacted] . the transmission was not going into gear. I have a $100 deductible on my warranty. The service manager **. [redacted] called and said they found metal shavings in my fluid and had to get my permission to tear the transmission down. The warranty company would not cover the tear down if it turns out not to be the transmission, so my parents said go ahead with the tear down. which would cost $780 if nothing was found. **. [redacted] said he was positive the transmission was tore up and not to worry the warranty company would cover all the cost. Well the transmission had several broken parts, they called the warranty company and they sent an inspector and he authorized the repairs. They warranty company said they would send them a transmission from their supplier for them to install, the warranty company said warranty on the transmission would come from them and the supplier on the transmission. All Bayside would be responsible for is installing it correctly. Well then bayside calls my parents and says we will not except their transmission and we have 2 choices, I can take the $2546.88 that the warranty company is paying and add an additional $755.00 out of my pocket for them to rebuild it or and extra $1250.00 out of my pocket and have a rebuilt ** transmission put in. they said why should we have to pay any extra the warranty company I have and you work with is supplying everything you need, without anything out of my pocket except my $100 deductible. They then proceeded to disclose to my parents , they will not use any parts that does not come out of their shop. although every other [redacted] dealer in Maryland I called will do the work and except the transmission from my warranty company. They said it is their policy, although it is not written anywhere and was never disclosed to my parents it had to be their parts or nothing. They told my parents that everything would be taken care of, then they try to slap a unwritten policy on them with hefty extra fees. I feel like my parents and I where misled and taken for a ride. I let my parents handle this for me, because my dad has knowledge with cars and I authorized them to handle it for me. If they only use their own parts it should be written and posted and disclosed to the customer so they are made aware there could be extra fees if they do not except the warranty terms. So after being mislead my parents now have to pay for the tear down because the warranty company will only pay one shop for it and take it to another shop to have the warranty work done. How can a dealership tell you one thing ans say another, who are they trying to scam ? NO WRITTEN POLICY ON WHAT THEIR POLICY IS, JUST THEM SAYING IT THEIR POLICY, NO DISCLOSURE ON THEIR SO CALLED POLICY. IT IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THEY HAVE DEALT WITH WARRANTY COMPANIES. I am also filing a complaint with the consumer protective agency on top of consulting a lawyer. ** corporate was sure no help either case # with ** corporate is [redacted] ext. [redacted] who was no help as well. Is everything not supposed to be disclosed on so called unwritten or written policies before a repair is started ? I mean is this the way a business does business? or just this one dealership in Maryland who makes their own rules up as they go along.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed my tear down fee for being mislead, I am taking my car to another service center to have the work done.

I cannot have misleading people do my work who try to milk every dime out of someone for a policy that does not exist or informs you after the fact of their unwritten policy that they magically come up with.

where does disclosure come in? After they have all your car parts off and they think they got you, thank god I have an extra car.

they where assuming I would be desperate enough to pay for their unwritten policy they came up with, well not me or my parents.

I will go to another [redacted] dealer I called and have them do the work who have no unwritten policies they make up.

I will not except any settlement beside my tear down fee and a written apology, and they put their so called policy in writing and start disclosing this to every customer that comes there for service. so no one else goes through this ever again.

Response:

We deal with several warranty companies and those companies support using genuine ** parts. If it had been communicated to us during the initial phases of this event that the parts were going to be supplied by the warranty company itself, we simply would not have agreed to perform any work,

What we offered to the customer was bi-faceted. We would either repair the transmission at an additional cost of approximately $750.00 or replace the transmission with a Service Replacement Transmission Assembly from **, which comes with a 3 year, 100,000 mile warranty, for cost, at approximately $1,250.00 to the customer. The customer agreed to the repair at approximately $750.00, and ultimately paid $670.88 due to our projections being higher than what it actually was.

We hope that this matter can be resolved quickly. Please do not hesitate to contact us should any further questions arise.

Review: October 14,2014 (2003 [redacted] - Vin #[redacted]). Vehicle was taken for recall #[redacted] key cover and key rings, also recall #[redacted] replaced the accelerator pedal. Work completed and drove my car off the lot when I noticed a smell, smoke and no brakes. I turned around went back and left my car overnight. Assistant Service Manger said he would have a tech look at my vehicle on October 15, 2014. I went to Bayside an spoke to Kevin F[redacted]. He informs me the passenger front caliper seized. Cost to replace both front calipers, brake pads and rotors $1,114.00

I took my vehicle to my mechanic where he discovered that the Accelerator and Brake Pedal Assembly was improperly re- assembled (Recall #[redacted]).

I spoke to Service Manager where he says that the recall had nothing to do with the brakes.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed $401.14 for the cost of repairs both front calipers, brake pads, rotors and labor. Or Bayside can pay me $1,114.00, which would have been their original cost, which did not resolve my problem and being an additional cost to me
