Review: In April 2013, I went to [redacted] for a pap smear. During this visit, he recommended that I have a bone density scan, which was then done the following week. Medicare declined to pay for the scan as one had been done elsewhere less than 2 years earlier and I was billed $284 by Bayside for the scan . I contacted Medicare and was told they would have paid $52.10 for the scan. I paid Bayside the $52.10, but they continue to bill me for the balance of $231.90. I tried to contact the billing office many times, but they never return my call. I finally went to the doctors office and gave them a check along with letter explaining my position and a copy of the Medicare Summary Notice that said I did not have to pay Bayside anything. As I had signed a paper that said I would pay if Medicare didn't, I felt that paying what Medicare would have paid would resolve the issue.Desired Settlement: I would like to have Bayside accept my payment of $52 as full payment for the scan.
