Gave notice we will not be renewing our lease in October, our lease ended March. Sent an email just to remind them we are not renewing the lease where we were met with threats of having to pay several different unlawful amounts of money. They even tried to say because we did not fill out a N9 form we would have to pay 2 months worth of rent. Filling out a N9 form is not required by law in Toronto and the landlord/tenant board even laughed they tried this and advised we fill out a t2 form to take them to court ***. ***. its saddening thinking of all the people who dont know their rights these *** people have probably taken advantage of.
