Review: I visited the park on September **. The park has five haunted houses. At the end of one of them, they had an extension cord running across the dark room to power a chain saw. We fell over it, and the employees could care less. We then went through another attraction, and had the same issues. There were ALOT of safety issues at the park, and when we spoke to someone, they did not care. The last three haunted attractions we went through, the employees/actors inside the houses were just hanging out, not actually working / scaring the guests. We actually surprised most of them. It was a slow night there. We paid a lot of money to go to these attractions and they were not operating them safely or efficiently what so ever.
When I spoke to management there, they did absolutely nothing. I would like a refund of our tickets. Offering me comp tickets does nothing for me, as we are from PA and drove to NY to go to this park.Desired Settlement: Refund
Business
Response:
We care very much that all our guests have a wonderful experience. We looked into all these issues and found that everything is operating properly. All our signs and website clearly say that there are no refunds under any circumstances. These guests went through all the attractions and no [redacted] is aware of anyone brining up any complaints or they would have been addressed while they were there. Therefore no refund is possible as services were rendered and they did not approach any [redacted] as they claim.

Response:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
I did ask to speak to a [redacted] that night. The cashier directed me to what I thought was a [redacted]. The [redacted] just shook his head, stated there were no refunds regardless, and said he would look into it. Since he would not resolve the issue, I then sent a two page email to the park. The person responding, who refused to give their name, stated that the person I was directed to was not actually a [redacted]. Why would the cashier direct me to this person then?
There are signs stating no refunds, however, when the services I paid for were not rendered, then that becomes an issue. I paid for 5 attractions, which ended up being dangerous, and the staff was not performing in 3 of them. Had the staff been doing what they were supposed to, and had the attractions not pose a threat to the public's safety, then I would not be emailing the park for more than two weeks now trying to resolve this. Since I did not get what I paid for, I still request a refund.
