I found Brian Handyman on Facebook advertisement He stated that he had years experience and the pictures listed on his Facebook profile were beautiful He came on Sunday to do our back splash in our kitchen I paid for all of the materials (approx $550) and he and his "employee" began the job I kept checking on his progress and each time I had concerns which I addressed He kept telling me he would fix them The tile was cracked in several areas, he did not pull out my outlets and he grouted all around them (covered them as well in grout), one whole entire section is crooked etc It is the worst work I have ever seen I found a licensed tile installer and had them take a look and I was told that it was a horrible job, one of the worst they had seen This person advised that I stop payment on the check I wrote which I did immediately Now upon further investigation I cannot fine and address for this guy, or a true website Only "Brian Handyman" on Facebook His name is

On November 25th, myself and my father Randy N*** ( a paid
employee), went to *** ***'s house for an estimateI was told by *** ***, that he had a paid a large amount of money to a previous contractor for a bathroom remodelMr*** and his wife were under the impression the previous contractor did not install insulation, and were very concerned about the pipes freezingAfter expressing their concerns about money, I was hired under contract for a grand total of $to: Demo a portion of the wall to see if insulation was installed2.If insulation is not installed, install itRe-drywall the area that was tore outRepair possible plumbing issues due to pipes freezing. On November 25th, my father and myself were under the impression the job would start that dayMr*** did write a check of $to my girlfriend Melanie H***. The check was written to her only because I forgot my wallet, and I was headed to purchase the material needed to start the jobAfter multiple discussions, it was decided by Mr*** not to start the job because of the Ohio State football game If the Mr*** wrote a check to someone by the name of Melissa, that had nothing to do with meThe check was cashed the same day by Melanie, by PLS Check Cashers, where I was present the entire timeA phone call was made by PLS Check Cashers to confirm Mr*** did in fact write the check, and gave Melanie H*** permission to cash it for material onlyThe check was not for payment of the job, it was for material plus a 20% fee for the pick up of materialOn December 2nd, my father and myself came to start the jobMy father and I completed the first stages of the drywallTo hang drywall correctly, you have to do it in phasesI applied light compound, to control dust, which is a suitable compound for the jobThe compound has to dry, it was agreed that we would be back December 4th, due to Mr***'s work schedule to finish the second phase which is sanding and painting December 3rd, I became extremely ill, to the point I received medical attention early morning December 4thMr*** has young children in his home, so I made contact with Mr*** on Melanie's phone due to accidently leaving mine at homeI made him aware that I mistakenly forgot my phone, and was texting him from Melanie's phone to let him know I was ill, and receiving medical attentionI told him that I made arrangements with my father to finish the drywallThe response I received from Mr*** was " I need you to finish the work At that time, I told him again my father Randy would be there to finish the jobI did not receive a message back from Mr***, so I called him twice, both times he did not answerAfter several attempts, my father was successful at making contact with Mr***, and it was agreed he would come to finish the job. On December 7th around 6pm, I was made aware by Melanie, that Mr*** was unhappy with the work that was completed by my father Mr*** sent Melanie a message that stated "MelanieRandy told me he should be coming back today to fix the walls but he is not answering my phone messagesCan you confirm that he will be back?" At this time, Melanie called me and notified me that Mr*** is unhappy with the work that was completedI was shocked to hear there was a problemMr *** never contacted me with any concernsMr *** demanded in texts to Melanie that I needed to come to his house the following day, stating he had to have the drywall done on SundayWithin hours, and without actually speaking to me, I was at his house to go over his issuesAt that time, Mrs*** showed me their concerns, several were due to the other contracts mistakesI attempted to talk with Mr*** about such mistakes and his response was "you can't *** a ***" I left the *** residence after mudding the drywall, I let them know I would be back around 6:30pm, I explained the compound had to dryMrs*** called me after I left requesting I bring material to fix areas of the wall that were damaged by the previous contractorI called her back, let her know the areas she was referring to were not what I was contracted to fixI let her know that I would be back at 6:and we can discuss it thenI came back around 6:50pm, Mrs*** and I came to an agreement that I would sand, re-mudd the areas she was concerned about, re-sand again, and then paintAt, 8:50pm I told Mrs*** I needed to pick up Melanie from work, also pick up our son, then I would be back to finish upI again expressed that I live about mins from them, it would be late, but I would still come back I returned to the *** residence around 11pm rang the door bell and knockedNo one came to the door. The following day, I called Mr***Again, no answerI was frustrated ,that I drove quite aways back to his house, late in the evening, and he did not answer the doorBecause of that frustration, I only made one attempt to reach him the next day. On Monday 11th, Mr*** again messaged Melanie asking for her to call himShe agreed, and calledIn that conversation Mr*** asked Melanie to refund him $and stated he wanted his whole bathroom tile replaced, he stated that some of the washable compound ruined his tileDuring this conversation Melanie stated he was being unreasonable and told him he needed to contact me about getting his money backShe refused to refund any money to him, as she is not a manager/employee of mineAt this time, Mr*** told her she had until Friday the 15th to refund his money or he was going to contact her place of employment, also report her to the Revdex.com, and take her to small claims courtTuesday 12th Mr*** copied pictures of myself and Melanie and posted them on his personal Facebook page, and multiple Bell, Sell, Trade pages on Facebook, stating that Melanie and myself are scammersThat we will take your money and do unfinished and horrible workThe picture of this post is attachedMr*** blocked Melanie and myelf from FacebookI did attempt to call Mr*** after seeing his Facebook post, which again he did not answerAt this time, I have completed the work I was contracted to doI am no longer interested in helping them fix the areas of concern from the previous contractor

Brian N*** advertised on Facebook as a handyman business, claiming to do repairs and remodelsHe claims to be a certified plumber but did not produce any documentation backing thisWe asked if he was able to do water heater replacements and he said yesHe quoted us $to install a new water heaterAfter spending several hours to install the water heater, he asked us to go get cash out of an ATM instead of the check we had writtenAfter he left, the house began to smell like gas and we had no hot waterI called and he did come back with someone else, telling me that it would now cost more to finish the jobDuring the next several hours, he also left and picked his girlfriend up and brought her to my house while he was workingHe left and we settled on another $since he had brought yet another person to the house to help with the workHe called us a few days later and asked for cash again instead of the check we wroteThe checks we wrote had to be written to his father
