Review: B & B repaired damage and repainted the drivers side of my 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 3500. Paint color does not match the rest of my truck. It is too dark.Desired Settlement: I would like my truck to be ONE color.

The customers truck is 9 years old. All of the 9years being in the harsh New Mexico sun. The paint on the left side was in worse condition than the right by far. Once we started work on the truck we realized that it had been painted five times on both doors and the hood. We called the customer and had him and come look at this. At that time we discussed the difficulty GM had with this paint code and how it is a nightmare for shops to match and thats probably why GM discontinued this color and why there was five coats of paint on it from the factory due to problems they had matching their own color. Reason we say factory painted it so many times is customer stated he has had truck since day one and nobody has painted it for him before. So we stripped both LT door and the hood to bare metal. When we removed the trim and decals from the vehicle you could really tell how bad the paint had faded. We continued with the job and completed it. When the customer came to pick up the vehicle he was very irrate and was unwilling to talk. When we asked him what we could do to make it right. His reply was "Nothing, I WANT MY TRUCK BACK!!!". So that is what we did, we washed his truck and had it ready for him. This is what it will cost to refinish the right side to be new like the left side. cost is $1820.45. If he doesnt want us to do the work we will provide whatever shop he picks to refinish the other side with the paint code and variant we used to paint the left side. We did our best to match this difficult faded color.
