To whom it may concernOn October 24 2017 ms [redacted] came in the office at BBS collision center looking for a repair facility that could assist her with her damages and her Insurance claim. She gave BBS collision center a verbal authorization to assist her and help her with her insurance...
claim and the repairs to her vehicle . I [redacted] Jr wrote an estimate which was submitted to the insurance company. On November 1, 2016 the insurance company finalized their estimate which was a lesser amount than the first preliminary estimate I had written. So I [redacted] A [redacted] contacted my customer [redacted] to advisor that the Insurance company at finalized the estimate and that it was a lesser amount from the estimate I had written. I advised my customer that we were needing to file a supplement in order to request the difference on the amount of the repairs of actual cost and in order to file a supplement that the vehicle was needed to be here at the repair facility . So she went ahead and asked for me to file the supplement and continue with the process. So we filed the supplement request . a field adjuster came in for a reinspection of the vehicle on damages on November 23, 2016. [redacted] had already received the first initial payment of $1750 dollars prior to the re inspection. Insurance field adjuster approved the estimate on November 23, 2016 in the amount of an additional $2,679.86 . The insurance field adjuster advising us that the payment will be mailed directly to the repair facility. On December 1, 2016 payment was received and deposited into business checking account which payment was made payable only to BBS collision center. All parts to perform the repair job we're ordered since bbs collision center had authorization for repairs from the owner [redacted] . So I advise my customer that The supplement check came in and was deposited and that parts were already ordered for her vehicle and that she needed to bring The vehicle in for repairs . So a few days later [redacted] comes to the office and tells me that she is no longer going to repair her vehicle and that she wants her money back a refund. I advised her that we did not have a problem with that but that we needed to send the parts back and get credit back or a refund first before I could refund her money back . So I told her that I'm writing her a check for $500 and meanwhile we wait for the process of the returning the parts and getting a refund back and that once we received the refund I would refund her back the difference and she said no . That she did not want the 500 and she wanted the full amount paid in full . So I explained to her that the process on the refund to take up to 2 to 3 weeks being that the parts were ordered out of town and being shipped back. She then said that she would wait no problem. She came back a few days later to follow up and check status and I told her that everything was still pending and I offered her another payment of 500 while we waited for the refund and she declined the payment again for the second time. A few days later after that she stop by the office again and check status on refund which I advised her again that it was still pending and I told her I could give her a payment of $1,400.00 since we are a small company and business has been really slow and BBS collision did not have the funds to pay her in full till the refund is completed and credited back so she declined the $1,400.00 payment walked out of the office and has not been back since .
